A start to this weeks list.

I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things. I have the list of Rainbow made up, but nothing else yet. There might be things that I missed. I haven't filed any coupons for over two months now. It's kind of hard to know what to look for when I'm not sure what coupons are out there.

Here is what I found so far. Don't forget that if you shop and Wednesday you will be able to double up to 5 coupons if you spend $25 or more BEFORE manufacture coupons.

Green Gaint Steamers $.88, -$1/1 IP and insert=1/$.12 overage
Green grapes $.99 per lb
10lb potatoes $2.49
1lb baby carrots $.88
Roundy's White bread $.68
Dove Large chocolate bar $1, -$1/1= Free
Dannon 320z yogurt $2, -$1/2 (blinki found at Rainbow 2 wks ago)=2/$3
3lb Gala organic apple $3.49

I'll add Ali also being it is so short. Remember that if Aldi, or any other store, is out of your way you can always take the flyer to Walmart and pricematch there. Usually they need to call someone to help, but it doesn't usually take long.

Green Peppers 3pk $.79
Mango $.49
Avacados $.59
Canned beans, black or garbanzo $.49 (can sub for store brand at WM)

I'll be working on the other stores throughout the week. That's the plan at least. Thanks for hanging in there while I get back in the game.

I know I'm a little behind for the month, but I wanted to add up the receipts so far this month. I seem to be loosing track of what I am spending and where the money is going. Walgreens
In light of the previous post I am just going to ad up the total OOP for all my Walgreens stops. I don't think anyone wants to read it twice and it would get rather long to type again.

Total OOP $7.71. $5.79 in cash and $1.92 in giftcards.
Total RR earned $24, + still owed $20 in RR for a total of $44 in RR.

Walmart
15 Reach Dental floss $.97, -5 $5/3 MF=$10.45 overage
17 Kraft mac n cheese $.66=$11.22
.95 tax
Total OOP $1.72

Total spent so far this month $42.69 + $7 OYNO at Rainbow
Total left to spend $42.31 +$24 in RR at Walgreens (I'm not going to add in the $20 still owed to me until I actually get it.)

How to blow your budget in three easy steps.

So I keep looking at the grocery money left for the month wondering where it all went. Well, I've come up with an answer for at least part of it. Walgreens. It all turned into RR good only at Walgreens. The whole ordeal goes something like this.

Step 1: Jason mentions on Sunday that he is out of allergy meds and would really appreciate some more.

Step 2: Look through ads and discover the best deal is at Walgreens which looks like this.

3 Tylenol Allergy Rapid Release $4.99
6 Carefree 22 count panty liners $1.22

Use
Walgreens in ad coupon for $.99 Carefree
3 $5/3 MF good on many products including both Carefree and Tylenol(These were in the Rainbow ad about three weeks ago. They were MF that expired on 9-10-08)

My OOP would $6 before tax and I would receive a $4 RR. I figured that $2 for 3 boxes of allergy meds was a pretty good deal.

Step 3: When I got to Walgreens I found out there was a $1.50 per box coupon in the monthly book which brought my OOP down to $1.41 after tax. To top it off instead of getting a $4 RR I got a $2 and $4 RR. Instead of paying $2 for everything I made $4.59.

Being I had a bunch of coupons left, and got Becca's extra coupons, so I planned on doing the deal as many times as possible the next day. I did it twice turning the day and then went in the evening and found an even better deal.

There was a sign under some of the liquid Tylenol cold med, buy 2 get $5. but 3 get $10. These also qualified for the $1.50 off Walgreens coupon so the OOP would still be $1.41, but instead of $6 in RR it would be $10.

I did two different orders like that, but the RR didn't print. The assistant manager wasn't sure what to do so she took my info and said she would talk with the manager first thing in the morning and call me. Well, they still owe me $20. She didn't call yesterday. I called today and was told she wasn't in and that they would leave a message, but the boy never took my name or # so not really sure that the "message" will actually get to her. I'm planning on stopping in with my receipts tomorrow.

My total OOP was $8.71 with $1.92 of that on a gift card. I did use some RR to lower my OOP, but couldn't use them on most transactions because it would not print out a new RR if I did. I know have $24 in RR with another $20 owed to be.

All told I ended up with 52 Carefree, 4 bottles of Children's Tylenol, 3 Tylenol Cold and Sinus 24ct, 8 bottles of Daytime/Nighttime Tylenol liquid cold meds, and 15 boxes of Tylenol Allergy meds.

I'm not really sure why it is only 52 Carefree because if I got 2 for every Tylenol it should be 60 Carefree.

Although this doesn't really explain where all my $ went so far this month at least I know where about $7 went. Plus, I have lots of RR to spend in the next two weeks on milk and other items.

One more link

Found this one to add. There are quite a few good coupons here too. The $1/1 works well with the Taco seasoning on sale at Rainbow this week for $.59 each. Also there are peelies for b2g1 free so it would be 3/$.18

bettycrocker

Just some interesting IPs

Well, it's been a while, but I'm back. Just needed a little break. My coupons are a mess which makes it hard to spot a good deal. Here are some IPs that I found while looking around today to tide everyone over until I can get my coupons in order and make up a list. Happy Printing!

$1/1 Quaker instant Oatmeal

BOGO Sierra Mist

$1/1 Cheerios #1

$1/1 Cheerios #2

$2/1 Any Kashi (great for the Target gift card deal next week)

$1/1 Buitoni (there is a $1/1 Target IP out right now also. Cheapest pasta is supposed to be around $1.85)

$1/1 Totino's Pizza Rolls

$1/1 Ronzoni Bistro pasta (Supposed to be around $1 when on sale.)

$1/1 Any Johnson's Buddies #1 (use on buddy bar soap to make them free)

$1/1 Any Johnson's Buddies #2

$2/1 South Beach Living Pizza
(There used to be a deal running at Cub which made these Free with the coupon and RR. I'll try to find out some more info and it and post later. Also reported to be $2 at Walmart so free after the coupon)

$1/1 Any Scott Towels or Tissue

Freesampling.net (There are a lot of great coupons here. It seems have the same offerings as coupons.com which means we might be able to get 2 coupons instead of just one. The Green Giant steamers are supposed to be around $1.30 at Walmart which would make them $.30 after coupon.)

Coupons.com (Not sure if you can print coupons from this and the freesampling.net site.)

Looks like that's it for now. I'll be working on my coupons more next week so hopefully I will be able to get a list made up then.

Free Yogurt at Cub

Cub has Dannon Light and Fit on sale for $1 this week. There are MF coupons for $1/1 4pk which makes them FREE!!

Noah eats yogurt everyday so this is great news for us. I haven't had to pay for yogurt for months now because last time I got a raincheck and there was never enough to fulfill the amount I wanted to they kept extending the raincheck another month. I would get what I needed for the month and then they would deduct that number from the total left on the raincheck and give me a new one good for another month. I didn't plan it like that, but it sure worked well.

If you are interested in ordering coupons here is a link to two sites that have them for sale. Each site if $.10 per coupon. I have ordered from both. Each is dependable, but I like the couponclippers better. Make sure you order no later then Tuesday night or EARLY Wednesday if you want them to get here by Saturday.

Rebecca's coupons and forms

The Coupon Clippers
Scroll down partway and it is the last Dannon coupon listed.

Taking a break

As you might have noticed I haven't been keeping up with the blog this week and last. There has been a lot of end of summer busyness going on. On top of that I haven't been feeling well which is making it hard to make the weekly list. I haven't even been looking at things for my personal list.

I have decided just to make it definite and say that I am taking a little vacation from the list. This way I don't struggle to get it out every week and then feel back when I don't get it done. We will be out of town towards the end of August so I think the easiest thing to do it just to start again with the weekly list at the beginning of September.

I'm planning on still updating the budget. I've found that having it all typed up helps me to keep on track and to know where I am spending. I tend to spend a lot less when I put it on the blog. Hopefully I can get last weeks purchases up tonight and go from there.

Thanks all for understanding. Hope you have a great end to your summer. See you when school starts.

Free SoBe Life Water at Target again

Just wanted to make to quick post about the Free SoBe Life Water at Target this week. They are on sale for $1. For every ten bottles that you buy you get a $5 gift card. There are $.50/1 MF out there so if you buy in sets of 10 with ten coupons they will be free after the giftcard.

I've found these coupons at both Holiday gas stations and at Kwik Trip gas stations. They are right on the door of the drink fridges.

Cheap Dinner on the Grill

There is a really good deal at Cub if you like brats and have the coupons left.

HillshireFarm sausage is BOGO in the Cub book for 2/$3.98. There is a tear pad on the Sara Lee bun display in the meat department for $1 off HillshireFarm sausage WYB 1 Bun. There also used to be blinki and tearpad coupons for one free bun WYB 2 of the sausage. Pear that with the Free whole watermelon uo to $3 WYB 1 sausage and 1 bun and get you quite a bit for $3.98. Lots of toys 75% off at Target

I was at Target tonight and they had a lot of toys on clearance. Almost all of them were marked 75% off. I got some Thomas things for Noah for Christmas and a couple of other presents.

For $16.98 after tax I got;

2 CARS giant floor coloring pads
2 Neville Thomas the Tank Engine dye cast train
1 Cranky the Crank + track and train get
2 Schleich lambs
1 Schleich Moose

Not as good as usual, but being there were no coupons not bad. Regular price would have been $67.92

Last day of the Month--what did I get?

I had some coupons that were expiring today so Noah and I went out to see what we could find. I headed to CVS with a page full of clearance and hidden deals plus the regular sale items for the week. Well, we ended up leaving with 2 rainchecks and nothing else. :(

I did run into Becky Weber and her neighbor, Stephanie as I was leaving. I was saying that I was heading to Target to use up my $5/3 Target coupon that expired today so Stephanie gave me two more. All total I now had three $5/3 and one $5/5 to work with.

This is what I ended up getting. I think I did pretty good for not having a plan when I talked through the door.

5 Johnson's Buddies $.94 -2 $2/2
1 9oz Johnson's baby soap $2.09
2 20oz Johnson's baby soap $2.79
1 14ct Johnson's pre-soaped washcloths $2.99
1 Neosporin $3.89 -$1/1
1 20ct Diego Bandaids $1.97 -$1/1 (Noah almost had a fit 4 times once we got home because he wanted one so bad.)
5 Stayfree $1.02 ( Just realized I only needed 14 products so I only needed to get 3 of these)

I think that my OOP after all the Target coupons was $.32. My reciept only shows tax for the amount of other products I purchased. I found some toys maked 75% off so I got a couple of Christmas presents. These aren't included in the grocery budget so they won't be added to the total.

I also went to Cub last night. Here is what I got on my last trip of the month.

20 Farmland sausage $1.50 -20 $1/1
5 HomeLife paper towels $.99, -5 $1/1
5 Bushel Boy life lettuce $1.79, -5 $2/1
1 YoBaby 6pk $3.64, -Free coupon
2 Marie Calendar 16oz pot pies $2.75
10 Chef Boyardee ravioli $1, -2 $.35/3
5 McCormick Mexican seasoning packets $.80 -2 $.25/2, -5/$3 Cub coupon
3 Peter Pan $1.66, -$1/1
-$2 OYNO coupon
Total OOP $26.50, received $10 OYNO coupon

Total Spent $26.82
Total spending for the month $85.81
Total left for the month $2.84 + $10 OYNO

So...all in all I am under budget again this month. I did have quite a lot of extra money to spend this month that's to the Planters Nuts overage. It made it easier to stock up on things like the sausage and ravioli.

All You Magazine

I don't think I have talked about it before but there is a magazine only sold at Walmart called "All You." It has a ton of coupons in it and is fairly cheap, $1.77. I usually only flip through it if I happen to be at Walmart, but today I bought three mags. They are the Aug 29, light purple issue.

Towards the back of the mag is a page with 5 "free when you buy" Kraft coupons. They are;

Free Wheat Thins up to $4.50
Free 16oz Kraft Dressing up to $3.20
Free Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs $4.51
Free Crystal light up to $4.50
Free Kraft Singles 12oz up to $4.00

There are the same as the tearpad coupons where you need to buy 3 products from the participating brands(excludes single serve). The brands are Kraft, Nabisco, and Oscar Mayer. Koolaid is made by Kraft. The best way to use these coupons is to buy 3 koolaid packets, being they are not single serve.

There is also a $1/1 Peter Pan coupon that can be used together with the buy $20 get $10 OYNO at Cub this week. By putting the two offers together you can get free peanut butter, plus a small overage for each coupon used.

Another coupon to use this week is the $1/2 Kid Cuisine. They are also part of the but $20 get $10 OYNO. After the coupon and the $10 print out the average out to $.61 each. This coupon and the Peter Pan are on a postcard sided insert in the middle of the magazine.

There are many other coupons you might be interested in. I just wanted to highlight the Free WYB and the ones to use at Cub this week.

Homelife Paper Products

Noah and I went looking for the HomeLife products today.

They didn't seem to have a spot on the shelf for the 120 count napkins. I did find the $.99 rolls of paper towels the coupons did beep on these, but the CSM said just to put them through. I also find small square boxes of tissues. The regular are 88 count and the "with aloe" kind are 66 count. I opted for the with aloe. It says "compare to Kleenex with aloe." I don't think they are quite as good, but they seem a little softer then just regular Kleenex.

The rolls of paper towels seemed to be much smaller when compared visually to Bounty, but the number of square feet per roll was pretty close. I don't remember exactly what each one had, but I want to say it was something like 88 for HomeLife and maybe 100 for Bounty. Like I said, not real sure.

I didn't find any paper plates that were less then $2.50, not a great deal, but not bad after the coupon if you need them. They also had paper cups, 24 for $1.99, still not great, but alright after the coupon if you need them.

I checked on the toilet paper, but the cheapest I could find was $2.59 for 4 rolls. Not a good deal at all. I have heard that there is a 4pk for $1.49, might just be that my Cub is smaller and doesn't carry that variety.

Free Paper Products

There is a new coupon out at some Cub stores. It looks like a blinkie, but is in a small cardboard box instead. The coupons is for $1/1 Any Homelife Paper Product. The boxes have been found next to the paper towels.

There are three or four different homelife products that are $.99 or $1. Some of them are on sale this week and some of them are regular price.

These are the items that I have found to be free so far.

120 count napkins $1.00(sale price for just this week)
Small roll of "Awesome" paper towels $.99
Kleenexes $1

I'm hoping to get a change to scout things out without Noah some time within the next few days. I'll post an update with what I find.

My CVS sob story

I went into CVS last Tuesday. When I was checking out the lady said that they will no longer be excepting expired ECBs, not even a day past the date. This was not good news because all my ECBS were either expired or would expire before the end of the week. I had over $50. She said that she would take them this time and that I could go home and figure out what I needed to get with them.

I went home and tried for the next three days to figure out how to roll my ECBs so that I wouldn't loose them. I finally got a plan together so Friday night I went in to see what I would end up with.

This was my wonderful plan. I needed to spend $52.xx

3 Benifiber 3x$6.79=$20.37
1 4x6 photo book=$3.99
2 6x8 photo books=$15.98
2 Netragena Mascara 2x$5.99=$11.98
1 Bayer Heart Advanced $4.99
2 CVS pads 2x$.99=$1.98
Total before coupons would have been $59.29

Coupons I was planning on using
2 $3 off photo book=$6
3 $2 off Benefiber=$6
2 $1 off Netragena=$2
1 $2.50 off Bayer=$2.50
Total coupons used=$16.50

Total after coupons $42.79

I would have used my ECBs on this and gotten milk with the rest. In the end I should have made

$19.97 For photo books
$10 for Benefiber
$8 for Netragena
$2 for Bayer
$1.98 for pads
Total $41.95

That's only a difference of $.84. I think that is great. Unfortunately they were out of everything, but photo books and the pads.

I ended up leaving with nothing because although, the two employees were helpful when it came to trying to make the photo books, they had never made one or worked with the program. In the end the store closed while I was still trying to get the books set up.

I went back on Saturday hoping that they might let me prepay for the items I was wanting so that I could use my coupons and ECBs on them and then receive the new ECBs and just pick up the products as they were in stock. I really didn't even care if I got most of them. I just didn't want to loose so much money in ECBs and have to start over from scratch.

That didn't end up happening, but in the end the manager wrote on my ECBs that they should be taken even though they are expired. I was able to make the one small photo book and get the monthly limit on the pantyliners so I was able to roll a little bit of my ECBs. I think I spent $12.66 for the photo book, liners, and 2 gallons of whole milk. I got back $5.97. Not as good as I had hoped, but with the expired ECBs I still have $46.93 to spend, roll, grow.

This weeks list

So I haven't been able to get a list made the last couple of weeks. I've started a couple of times, but they have always ended up in the draft file. I'm going to try again and hopefully I will get it done this time.

It seems to be slim pickings this week at most places. It's actually nice because I have been running to this store or that store the last couple of weeks so I am looking forward to staying home a little bit.

I need to make a list for my own shopping before the end of the week so I will try to post that. Night all.

Updates

The last couple of weeks seem to have been busier then normal. I still haven't finished up on last months budget, let alone started this months or posted a shopping list for the last two weeks.

I no longer have the receipts for the last week in June, but think that I remember what I ended up buying.

As for last week I spent a lot of time at Cub. I think I was there at least once per day last week. It paid off as you will see. Not all the trips were for me also. I helped mom and Becca with the Planters deal because you needed to go through so many times to use all the coupons.

June
I went to Target on the 25th. I was going to get some cheese and a bunch of other things. Nothing I really needed. I thought my total would be around $1.30. Things ended up going terribly wrong. They didn't cut the right cheese and then each bag ended up costing around $1.70/$1.80 instead of $1.05 like it had been. Even after that I had figured out a few things for overage so that my total should have only been $3.xx. In the end it was $9.70. My plan was to return a few of the things that should have had overage, but instead the coupons weren't even scanned. My real total would be $4.16

I made two trips to Rainbow and ended up getting a bunch of bertolli pasta sauce pouches at Rainbow. They were $1.25 and I had $1/1 coupons for them. I think the total as $6.50

I also found a recipe for 6-30
10 bags AF cheese $11.13
AF Chips $7.12
After coupons $.25

Total spending $10.91
Total Spend this Month $81.85
Total Left for this Month $3.65 + $5 OYNO @ Cub, and 2 Free milk up to $4 at Rainbow

All in all I was just under budget for June.

Last week I bought a lot of things. I kept all the receipts so here goes...

July 2,
Walgreens
Chocolate bar 1.05(FAR monthly item)
Total on WG gift card $1.05
Total rebate received back $1.15

Rainbow
6 Koolaid $.25

2 Roundy's butter $1.50
2 Roundy's milk $3.19

Used 2 $4 off milk coupons
2 Free OM hotdogs WYB 3 partcipating product coupons
Total after coupons $2.88
I had planned on using the $1.98 milk coupon, but it was only good if you had $25 with of items. they were out of the Bertolli pasta sauce pouches so I wasn't able to have $25.

Cub
I did two runs on Wednesday. I'm just going to put them together cause it's much easier.
1 Bush's grillin beans $1.29
10 Planter's nuts assorted kinds $30
1 2lb organic carrots $1.50

Free SoBe Life Water

Alright folks,

The freebie of the week is SoBe Life Water. It is on sale at Target for $1. When you buy 10 bottles you get a $5 gift card making it 10/$5 after the gift card. There are tearpads out there for $.50/1. Use 10 coupons + get the $5 gift card and it comes out free for every 10 bottles you buy. (Actually I did have to pay $.65 tax on 20 bottles, but that's still not bad)

I have had good look finding the coupons at both Holiday gas stations and Kwik Trip gas stations. I haven't seen any at Super America, but I have only checked the one off Marchall in Shakopee.

Feel ackward going in just to check for coupons and not buying anything? Yeah, me too. If you head to Kwik Trip grab a banana or two. They are only $.39 per lb which is much cheaper the Cub. I got about 5 bananas for $.49 this evening.

Aquafina Alive is also included in the 10/$10 get a $5 gift card deal. People have found tearpads for it at Walgreens, and also in the deli section of Safeway. Not much help for those in the midwest, but maybe those out west will be able to find some of them.

$3 off Planters Nuts coupons

By now I'm sure that all of you are wondering what in the world I had you print 12 coupons for nuts, right?

So here's the deal. Right now the nuts are on sale at Cub for $3. This makes them free when you buy 3 participating products. Koolaid packets just happen to be a participating product. They are made by Kraft and are not single serve they acutally make 8 servings.

Koolaid is on sale for $.20 this week. So a can of nuts would be $.60. Good deal, but it gets better. Right now there is a Catilina that print out for $ off OYNO. If you buy 3 planters nuts you get $4 OYNO, 4 nuts $5 OYNO, 5 nuts $6.50 OYNO.

The breakdown looks like this.

3 Nuts $9
9 koolaid $1.80
Use 3 $3 off nut coupons=$1.80 Total OOP
Get coupon for $4 OYNO
Total profit=$2.20

4 nuts $12
12 koolaid $2.40
Use 4 $3 off nuts copons=$2.40 Total OOP
Get coupon for $5 OYNO
Total Profit=$2.60

5 Nuts $15
15 koolaid $3
Use 5 $3 nut coupons=$3 total OOP
Get coupon for $6.50 OYNO
Total profit=$3.50

If you are planning on getting any of the buy 10 items get $5 off your order you can work the nuts into the plan also. Just remember that for each 5 nuts you buy you need to have 15 participating products in order to use the $3 off coupons. Translation, if you are buying 10 of the buy 10 get $5 off products you will need to buy 10 koolaid to go with it.

There is also a tearpad coupon for buy 10 koolaid get 2 free. I've only found them at Rainbow, but if you are going to be there take a look. 2 free isn't much money saved, but it is still a savigns.

IP coupons

Thought I would start a post with current internet printable coupons. Meanly, I can't print them right now and wanted a place to keep all the links together. I thought that maybe some of you might be interested in them too. If there is a current deal for the coupon I'll try to list that. Many coupons can be printed twice so it is always worth a try if there is not a limit posted by the link.

Save $1 on produce WYB qualifing Kellogg's cereal (great ad on for the current Target gift card deal). It's a brinks coupon so limit should be two.

Save $1 on Kellogg's Rice Krispies w/Strawberries (also great for the Target deal) Limit 2

Save $1 on any size of Pompeian olive oil (On sale this week at Rainbow) click on savings, then coupons, and check the Pompeian box. limit 1

Save $3 on Planters product WYB 3 Kraft, nabisco, or Oscar-Meyer Product. (Watch for deals in July at Walgreen with their rebate offers)Limit 2

Save $1 WYB 4 Soyjoy bars(One sale $1 at CVS, buy 4 and get $4 ECB so it would be a $1 moneymaker) Limit 1

Save $1 on Bertolli pasta sauce pouch(on sale this week at Rainbow for $1.25, ad to your double coupon plan for best value) Limit 1

Save $1 on any wild Harvest Organic, Cub brand(great coupon. I think they can be paired with the coupons that sometimes print out from the coupon machine being those say store and I think this is a MF. Many Wild Harvest products are on sale this week at Cub)Said to be a 30 day rolling coupon so you can print it ever 30 days.

Save $2 on 46oz V.Fusion juice
(watch for sales. haven't seen any current deals for this)Limit ?

Save $2 on any Kashi product(Target has waffles for $1.84. Also many products go on sale 2/$5) Must register. Limit 1?

Save $1 on MuirGlen tomatoes (these are often on sale at Rainbow for $1.25)Limit ?

Save $1 on KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce(there are lots of $ off X WYB Kingsford charcoal and KC Masterpiece)Limit 1?

Save $.55 on Mission Tortilla chips(on Sale at Cub 3/$4.98?)registration required

Save $3 on Kraft LiveActive cereal($2.84 at Walmart)Limit 2

Save $2 on 2 Johnson's Baby products(great to pair with the $5 off 3 Target coupon for overage)Limit 2

Save $1 on any Tylenol product(use on trial size for free tylenol)Limit 1?

This is a link to another site that lists out MANY IP coupons. I'm not sure if there is some overlap with what I printed, or if there is a similar coupon you would be able to print it again. Take a look and see what you can find. There were just too many here to type them all up.

My day at Cub-Budget update

I think I have hit the capacity level in my fridge and pantry for a while. This week has been bad for the budget, but my store areas are full to the brim it seems. I'm amazed that no matter what I bring in there always seems to be a place for it. I am relived that as I looked through next weeks Cub ad I didn't see much that I was interested in.

I had a great trip at Cub yesterday. It took forever, but Noah behaved well so it wasn't that bad. I had a ton of coupons for Free X WYB Y. It just too a lot of thought to make sure that I was getting the right things had wasn't forgetting any coupons.

Here is the lowdown on what we got yesterday.

2 box Thai Island Jasmine rice $1(clearance cart) -.50/1=2/$1
10 boxes of Kraft Dressing to go $1, -$1/1=10/Free
2 HillshireFarms smoked sausage $2.50=$5
1 Sara Lee hot dog Buns $1.50, -FREE WYB 2 HillshireFarms smokes Sausage=1/Free
3 Beef sticks from meat counter $1.33, -$1/meat WYB 1 buns, 1 sausage=1/$.33
Kraft Grate it fresh Parmesan cheese $1.50 (clearance cooler), -.55/1=1/$.95
1 carton Kemps Kids milk $2.50, -$1 WYB 1 Sara Lee Soft and smooth bread=1/$1.50
2 Sara Lee Soft and smooth bread $2, =2/$4
3 bags live lettuce $1.50, -$1 off lettuce WYB 2 Kraft dressing, -2 $2 off bagged salad=3/-$.50
1 Personal size watermelon $4, -$3 off whole watermelon WYB buns and sausage, -$1 off produce WYB Kraft Parmesan cheese=1/Free
4 Kiwi $1, -$1 off produce WYB 2 Kraft dressing=4/Free
2 apples $2.17, -$1 off produce WYB 2 Kraft dressing=2/$1.17
1.83 lb bananas $1.08, -$1 off produce WYB 2 Kraft dressing=1.83lb/$.08
.95lb necarines $1.89, -$1 off produce WYB 2 Kraft dressing= .95lb/$.89
.66lb cherries $1.64, -$1 off produce WYB 2 Kraft dressing=.66lb/$.64
-Raincheck for $5 off your order WYB 10 Kraft dressing=-$5
-$5 OYNO Coupon=-$5

In the end I ended up paying $5.06. I noticed last night that they had charged me $1.99per lb for the apples instead of $1 so that would have been $1.08 less on my total. Also I thought that I could use 2 of the $1 off milk coupons being I had bought 2 bread, but she said I would have had to buy 2 bread and 2 milk and wouldn't take the coupon. Not sure who is right, her or me, but she was getting tired of all my coupons and had already called the CSM once so I didn't feel like pushing it. So in the end my total should have been $2.98

I also got another $5 OYNO because I bought another 5 qualifying products, 2 sausage, 2 bread, 1 buns.

Jason also stopped at Rainbow and got me butter so I guess I'd better add that to the total also. $1.88

Total spend $6.94
Total Spend this Month $68.36
Total Left for this Month $16.64 + $5 OYNO @ Cub, and 2 Free milk up to $4 at Rainbow

More cereal...

I kept debating over and over about getting more cereal. We have a ton, but were running out of Cheerios and Rice Chex. I knew that I wanted to get some Propel because I had coupons for it and decided that if I was going to get it anyway then getting the cereal would be a good idea. I ended up doing two transactions yesterday.

Between the two this is what I ended up with:

2 boxes of Wheaties
2 Boxes of Wheat Chex
4 Boxes of Rice Chex
16 Boxes of Cheerios
20 bottles of Propel
2 Gallons of milk
2 coupons for free milk up to $4
total OOP after coupons $16.80

Also got more cheese at Target. Tuesday 4 slices per bag was just over .15 lb each so most of them were $1.05. Yesterday they must have sliced it thiner because ever bag was under $1. The coupon does not adjust or beep if it is under $1, but I don't feel right purposely getting an overage on these. The total for 10 bags came $8.40 so I only used 8 $1/1 coupons. Total OOP $.40

Spending this trip $17.20
Total Spend this Month $61.42
Total Left for this Month $23.58 + $5 OYNO @ Cub, and 2 Free milk up to $4 at Rainbow

Good deals worth looking into this week.

I haven't gotten the list made up yet, but there are a couple of deals that I thought I would let you know about. I posted them on HCW so I'm just going to take the post from there and ad it here. Yeah, can you tell I'm feeling lazy and tired tonight?

Cub as a deal going through 6-24 where if you buy 5 specified Sara Lee, Ballpark, or Hillshire Farm products you get a $5 OYNO coupon at checkout.

This is what I did today. It's a great price in the end.

4 Johnsonville brats $10
2 Sara Lee Buns $3

-2 B2 Johnsonville, get 1 buns free= $3
-$5 print out
Total OOP $5 for 4lbs of brats. I know the ad says sausage, but it pictures cheddarwarst as does the coupons. I got the Cheddarwaurst and it worked just fine.

I think there are MF for the brats, but not sure. Maybe $.35/1. That would mean an extra $1.40 off if you have 4 of them. It would make it less then $1 per lb + the free buns.

Rainbow also has buy 6 cereal get $10 off + 1 free milk. If you have some good coupons this can be a good deal. I thought I had it all figured, but just realized I had it all wrong. Maybe I can work up another plan and post it later.

What have I been buying?

Time for an update on a few things.

The garage sale went well. We had been collecting free items from CVS, Target, wherever. Pretty much anything that was free or that would make money when you bought it. We had almost two tables full of items and sold most everything. The only thing that didn't sell was the hair dye and diabetic meters.

I actually accomplished my long long list of places to go last Wednesday. Being I was going out for double coupons at Rainbow I wanted to get all the other stops for the week done as well.

I have some reciepts to ad up also. I can't seem to find the one for Rainbow last Wednesday, but know what I got.

Cub

4 Hillshire Farms Cheddarworst $2.50
-2 Free buns WYB 2 Hillshire Farms
Total OOP $10, -$5 OYNO, (I split this with Jekka so I really only paid $8 and then got the $5 OYNO)

I bought a lot of stuff at CVS with rainchecks last month. I try to hold them until I have coupons to go with them or I can use the raincheck and get an ECB with it. I wanted to get extra things for the garage sale so I just used up most of the rainchecks I had. In the end I paid out $3.99 in ECB, and $1.76 on a gift card. I made $18 back in ECB so the total profit was $12.25 in ECBs.

Total spending $26.43
Total Spend this Month $44.22

DOUBLE COUPONS TOMORROW

Becca just called me. She was at Rainbow today and said that there was a sign on the register saying there will be double coupons EVERY Wedneday until September! I called the Bloomington store and they confirmed that it is EVERY Wednesday!!!!

It is the same deal a usual. Spend $25 get up to 5 $1 coupon doubled.

Becca posted a comment about this. She also asked if you can use more then 5 coupons. The answer is YES. Use as many coupons as you can find. Only 5 will be doubled, but to maximize the deal use all the coupons you can. :)

So far my best deal looks like this.

10 Powerade=$10
1 24 pk Dassani =$4.99?
11 Farmland suasage=$11

Coupons
11 Farmland=$11 off
2 $.75/1 Powerade (it's all I have)=$1.50
1 Free Dassani=$4.99
Total $3.50

I would love to be able to get some more Powerade coupons. Does any one know if any stores in the area carry Sunday papers all week?

Updates to this weeks list

Alright, I didn't expect to be back this soon, but here is something I missed.

Cub
Simply potatoes hash brownes $2.23, -BOGO Cub coupon, -$1/2 MF=2/$1.23

CVS
This is a direct copy of the email Becky sent me. It's too late for me to edit it tonight, but I wanted to get it on because I will be out all tomorrow shopping and then getting ready for the garage sale this weekend.

Not like we need more candy in the house but the candy deal ends up being a good deal. Buy $10 worth get $5 in ECBs. And then if you have a $3 off $15 purchase coupon. Makes for some cheap candy. The Gold Emblem Candy for 88 cents is included in this deal.
The big deal this week is the Nivea Men products buy $10 worth get $5 in ECB's combined with a $3 off $15 or a $4 off $20 coupon and then there is a bricks coupon for $2 off any Nivea product. You can print two coupons from a computer. You can do this deal 5 times. I think with the bricks coupons this is a great deal. Esther do you have the link for this otherwise I will have to check at work if I have it there.
The Stomach Remedy deal is get $3 in ECB's for a purchase. There was Maalox coupons in the paper two weeks ago of $2 off. There is a Maalox that is $5.29 and another $5.99. So it would be like getting it for 29 cents or 99 cents with the $3 EBCs you get back. There are probably others that are low in price too. This deal can only be done once.
There are some great June Monthly deals too.
Oral-B Cross Action double toothbrushes. The book says you can do this twice but it can be done four times. $6.99 get $6.99 in ECBs
Kids mouthwash is $3.49 get $3.49 in ECBs. The book says this deal can be done twice but it can be done 4 times.
CVS Bandaids - $1.99 get $1.99 - book says you can do it twice but it can be done 3 times
The dove deal this month is good too. There are a bunch of different dove coupons out there. The monthly deal is on body wash and deodorant. Buy $10 worth of dove and get $3 back combined with some of the coupons out there makes it good. I know I signed up on dove.com and got a $2 off one but had some MF too.
Happy CVSing!!!!!!!!!!

As I find more I will edit this post and keep adding them here so this is the one to check later. I figure it will be easier to see them here then in the big long weekly post.

Shopping list for this week

It seems like since it has gotten warm I have been doing a pretty poor job at getting the weekly list done.
I'm sure it is a combination of a lot of different factors. I really don't tend to buy much anymore unless it is almost free or it is something like produce that we need for a meal. That makes it hard to spot deals that others might be looking for. Also at times I wonder who really looks at this blog and does it really help any of you. I'm sure it probably does, but at the same time there is that little doubt that all the time put into it doesn't really matter. Don't get me wrong. I don't mind doing it, it just that if no one cares about it why do it right?

I think I either need to expand, so that there are more people coming to look and it will help more people save $, or just stop the weekly list and just post the great deals that I find of other random coupon stuff. Maybe it's just sunny and warm outside and I would rather be there then here today and there really isn't a problem at all. :)

Oh well, back to the list.

Becky is going to be doing the CVS list this week. She is CVS super woman and has been finding so much more then me. She'll be sending it in later tonight.

Snyders
You can get 50 free prints this week. It is in their ad. I haven't tried it yet, but it doesn't look like you need to buy anything at all. Directions in the ad are as follows.

1. Go to Snyderdrug.com
2. Click on the Photo Link
3.Try it! Upload. Share. Print.
Offer valid on-line only. enter coupons code 50free at checkout.
4x6 prints glossy or matte finish
*store pick-up only. Home delivery will include an extra charge offer available 6/8/08-6/14/08.

There is also a MF coupon for $2/1 any full size Neutrogena suncare product. I don't know if this is a good coupon or not because I can't remember what past ones have been, but I know that I have seen it on sale at WG for BOGO free or 1/2 off. The coupon is good till 8-31-08 so cut it out and save it for upcoming deals. Being it is a MF you can use it anywhere.

Aldi/Price match at Walmart
Nectarines or Peaches $.43 per lb
Vidalia onions $.33 per lb
Tomatoes 20oz 4pk $.99
This could be a great price on tomatoes because with the Salminila outbreak they have had to pull many kinds of them so the price on those left might be going up. It doesn't say a specific type of tomato so you should be able to use it on for 20oz of any type of tomato you want.

Rainbow
Arnold Dutch County Bread $1.50
Grapes $.99 per lb
Farmland pork links of Patties $1.00, -$1/1 MF=1/Free
Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sause $1.15, -$1/1 MF=1/$.15
Kellogg's cereal if 50% off. It says save up to $1.98, but I am sure some will be cheaper then that.
Klement's Bratwurst or Italian Sausage 12-16oz $2.00
Snapple water $1, -$.50/1, -BOGO IP =2/$.50

There is also a great deal on Powerade and dasani water. Check the post below for the scoop.

Cub
Green Gaint 16oz frozen Veggies $1
Old Orchard 100% apple juice of cocktail juice blends $1.50
Land o Lakes OJ $4.99 per gallon, BOGO Cub coupon=2/$4.99 possibly also MF coupons
Dole 100 Calorie salads $1.50, -$.50/1 Mf=1/$1.00
Earthbound Farms Organic Salad $2.50, -$2/1 MF=1/$.50
Romano's Macaroni Grill 8-18.2oz $3, not sure if this is a deal or not being they are new, but I love Macaroni frill so if you can get the same flavor at home for $3 then it is a steal to me.

Target
Archer Farms deli cheese, $4.99-$6.99 per lb, -$1 off TC. Buy only $1 worth use the $1 coupon and get free cheese. :)
There are lots of other Target deals going on right now. I haven't gotten them all straightened out yet, but I will be adding to it as I do.

Walgreens
Check out the June monthly book. there are many free after rebate items as usual. I haven't looked into all the deal for this week yet. I'll ad them as I have time.

I think this is it for now. On to clipping, sorting and filing my coupons. Haven't sorted for probably a month so it needs to be done. I might find more match-ups as I file so check back later for any updates.

Great deal on Powerade

I know it's been slim pickings at Rainbow lately so I wanted to post this great deal that I found today.

Rainbow has 32oz Poweraid and Powerade Zero on sale for $1. Also if you buy 10 then you get a free 24 pk of Dassani water with in store coupon. There were coupons in yesterdays paper for $.75/1 24oz or 32oz Powerade or Powerade Zero.

If you have 10 coupons you could get 10 bottle + the 24pk of water for $2.50. Pretty good deal in my opinion.

I'm looking for sites that have the coupon and will post some links when I find them.

UPDATE
Well, it looks like this deal is dead for us, unless we want to pool our coupons. None of the clipping sites have them. They are selling for about 20/$10 on Ebay so that doesn't really make it worth while.

Free Archer Farms Deli cheese

There is a new Target coupon for $1 off Archer Farms Deli cheese. Usually these have a minimum size you have to purchase, but this time there isn't any. All you have to do is buy the cheese in $1 amounts and you will be able to get as much as you want for free. Kind of like the $2 off Archer Farms deli meat from about a 1 1/2 ago.

Does anyone know the price? I am guessing that it is something like $6.99 per lb. That means 1/6 of a lb would be $1.165. It would still work out to be $.99 per lb, unless you can get a deli worker who is supper nice and is able to give you just $1 worth.

Hopefully it will go on sale sometime in the next month!

Weekly list

Hi all! I'm working on this list, but will probably end up posting before it gets all done. I just wanted to start by getting some of the links for the IP coupons in while I had them instead of needing go to back and relocate them later.

One thing at CVS this week is free Chex mix. It's $1 with a $1/1 IP. There are 2 links for the coupon so you could print 4 coupons total per computer. Link 1. Link 2.

Found a third link. This one seems to be different then the first two so that would mean another 2 coupons for a total of 6.

Grapes,Cheese, Crackers and Hamburger

Well, I haven't gotten much done on the list so far this week. I am going to work on it while Noah goes to bed. I wanted to post the deal I have done so far though so that if I don't get the list done for a little bit some of you will be able to get a few deals at least.

Cheap cheddar cheese at Cub-No coupons needed

I was at Cub yesterday doing the Kraft cheese/Nabisco cracker deal and found a great deal. The 16oz packages of Kraft shredded cheddar cheese were ringing up $1.50. The sign said 3/$9.99, but I tried it two different times and they rang up $1.50.

There is a coupon in the Cub ad this week for $5 off your order WYB 5 Kraft cheese. The best deal would look like this;

5 16 oz Shredded Cheddar $7.50
-$5 off your order
Total $2.50 for 5lbs of cheese.

The expiration date was mid October so there is plenty of time to use all the cheese. It also freezes great so that would be an option too.

This deal can get better if you have the Kraft peelies and the nabisco coupons. The second deal I did was this;

1.22lb red grapes $3.04
5 16 oz Shredded Cheddar $7.50
2 8oz Kraft Mexican 4 cheese blend $1.50 each (on clearance)
2 5.5oz resealable bags of Nabisco mini Ritz crackers $1.64 each
2 8oz resealable bags of Nabisco Animal crackers $1.64 each
Total $20.10

Coupons used
Free 1lb grapes Cub coupon
$5 off your order WYB 5 Kraft cheese
2 Free cheese up to $4.99 WYB 2 Nabisco crackers
2 $1/1 Any 5oz or larger Nabisco cookies or crackers
Total after coupons $.63

I only used 2 Nabisco coupons because I would have had an overage and at the time I didn't know what else I needed to go with it so I just saved the other two coupons for later.

Recap of May spending

I suppose it is time to fess up how much I sent over budget. I will say in my defense that Noah and I were sick last week and when I am sick I just really want whatever tastes good to me at the time. Last week that was cherries and beef soup with red potatoes.

As close as I can tell last week we spent $16.17 on groceries. All but $5.17 was for cherries, cottage cheese, and red potatoes. The rest for for 4 boxes of Teddy grams, 2 gallons of milk and something else that I can't remember.

Add that to the $2.93 that I was already over buy and you get a total of $$19.1. Which means last month I spend $113.70. Not that great.

Oh well, time to do better this month. I'm going to stick with the $85 being I was under and then over so I still don't really know if this is the correct amount, but to this I will add the knowledge that at the end of the month there will be some excellent stock up opportunities so I might need more then $85.

Things like hotdogs, brats, hamburger, and anything condiment or picnic related should be on sale right before the 4th of July. Last year we got enough hotdogs, mustard, ketchup, and bbq sauce to last all year. Most of it was just pennies.

Free Kraft Cheese WYB 2 Nabisco crackers

There are currently peelie coupons on some Nabisco cracker boxes for free Kraft cheese (up to $4.99) WYB 2 Nabisco crackers (no size limits). These have been very hard to come by. No one really wants to trade them and until yesterday I hadn't ever found any.

I was at the Maple Grove Cub Foods store yesterday killing time while I had my stuff across the street a UOAC. I found a few of these peelies on the front end cap of crackers next to the cracker isle. I didn't see too many, but I also didn't look behind any boxes so there might have been quite a few. If any of you live over there it is defiantly worth going for a look.

If any of you have been lucky enough to get your hands of some of these peelie coupons then there is a great deal going on this week at cub for you.

This week 1lb bags and blocks of Kraft cheese are on sale for 3/$9.99. If you buy 5 or more you get $5 off you order.

There are two different ways this deal could work. I asked CS and she thought that the first way should be fine because of the wording on the coupon, but she also said it might depend on you cashier, so choose wisely.

Scenario #1

8 5.5oz bags mini Ritz cracker $1.69
6 packages of cheese 3/$9.99
Total $33.5

-8 $1/1 Nabisco= -$8
-4 Free Kraft= -$19.96
-$5
Total after coupons=$.54

This is the best way because it maximizes you peelie coupons. Being you bought a total of $19.98 in cheese each of the 4 coupons should be entered into the register for the full value of $4.99. You will need to explain this to your cashier because they will assume that they should just put in the price for one bag which is $3.33.

If you have problems with your cashier or are not brave enough to try you can do scenario #2

10 5.5oz bags of mini Ritz crackers $1.69
5 packages of cheese
Total $33.55

-10 $1/1 Nabisco
-5 Free Kraft peelies
-$5 off WYB 5 Kraft

Total after coupons $1.65

The first way has a little less OOP, and 1 extra 1lb of cheese.

If you really want to get in on this deal, but don't have the coupons they are selling on Ebay. Depending on what they are going for this could still be a good deal. Just make sure that the auction ends with enough time for the seller to ship them and get them here by Saturday.
