Spending for this week

I haven't really spend much since Sunday. I dno't think I have actually paid for anything. I have been getting lots of Lipton to Go packets and also the bottles that are on sale for $1. Other then that I haven't gotten any grocieries or household stuff you the totals are still the same.

CAP

CAP is having another sale on Monday April 21. I thought it was just the regular 50% sale, but there was a sign on the door Monday that said all clothes and shoes $.50. Just thought some of you might like to know. If you aren't able to go in the morning it's will worth stopping in on your way home. They keep putting things out all day long. Last time I went in the afternoon and found some great clothes and toys.

No list this week

There won't be a list this week. I was trying to get it done, but just didn't have enough time. I'm leaving this morning for Duluth so I won't have time to work on it the rest of the week.

A few highlists that I did notice were:

Buy any 10 GM products get $15 off you total with in store coupon at CUB. This is good on granola bars and fruit snacks as well as cereal. I know most of us have enough cereal to last months, but if you are looking for the other products this could be a good deal. You also get a coupon at checkout for 1 free gallon of milk up to $4.50. The milk really does make it a good deal. there are lots of coupons out there for the fruitsnacks and granola bars.

There is some type of deal on Suave this week at WG. Haven't really looking into it, but if you are interesterd you can find a thread about it here.

Target has new coupons out this week. There are a coupon of great deals going on there. There is an Eggo coupon $1/2 TC. I guess that there were also $.55 MF in the paper this past week. I think the coupon was off 1, but might have been off 2. Somepeople have found the Eggo Swirls for a little over $1 and are getting them free. The cheapest Eggos I've found were $1.5x, but I've only looked at the little Target in Shakopee.

There is a also a TC for Lipton tea. It is $1/1 and seems to work on any Lipton tea product. It pictures a box of tea. Right now the 1.5 Liter bottles are ringing up $1 even though they are marked $1.29 so these are FREE after the Target coupon. Also there are 4 pks of Lipton Tea To Go sticks for $.99 afer the coupon these are FREE. These are found in the checkout isles. The coupon does not beep and adjusts to $.99 so you do not need any fillers.

I think that is all I can remember for now. There might have been free gum at Walgreens this week. I think I saw an in ad coupon for BOGO Trident and there were BOGO MF coupons in the paper a couple of weeks ago.

Alright, sorry this is it for the week.

April Spending Update

At the middle of last week I was thinking this Challenge was a piece of cake and that I could do it no problem. I went shopping on both Saturday and Sunday and bought quite a bit so I'm starting to think that it might be a little more challenging now.

I'm sure that I could make it because there is always stuff in the freezer and pantry. The point of the challenge though is to see if it is a realistic monthly goal. Can I meet this goal, but still maintain my stockpile so that in a few months the grocery bill won't go up?

I don't really plan on spending any more this week. I got a few things on Sunday. We are going out of town for Thursday, Friday and Saturday so I don't need to, or have the opportunity to spend more. That only leaves a week and a half left in the month.

So what did I get this weekend that possibly brought the budget? A lot. Very little of it was things we actually needed, but we will use it all later so it was better to buy it now.

Saturday
I made three different purchases at Cub.

Total cash $2.13 I also received a coupon for 1 free gallon on milk OYNO

Total spend this weekend $21.68
Total spending for the month:$47.50
Total left to spend:$27.50

I hadn't added it all up before this. $27.50 left isn't that bad for 1 1/2 weeks. Looking at that I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem unless there is a great stock-up deal or I really want to make something, but have to but ingredients

I also went to CVS:

Toilet paper $4.99
A card for Dad's birthday $3.49
Three of the Monthly covergirl foundation $8.98? each
Three other covergirl foundations $9.99? each
Toe separator $.99
Two Secret deodarents that were $.83 on clearance

In the end I think I paid out around $15 in ECBs and got back $18. I know I made about $3 in the deal so that must be pretty close because I think the only thing that gave ECBs was the Covergirl monthly.

Awhile ago I had seen where you could sign up and be a part of their survey team. They send you an invite at times and then if you qualify you take the survey and get ECBs. I did one about two weeks ago and the $10 from that printed out also. Plus I got my quarterly ECB reward $.50

All told I think I was up $13.50 for the day at CVS.
