Guest posters

Looks like there will be a list next week after all. So far we have Becca covering Cub, Becky is going to take CVS, and Karin has said she is willing to be in charge of Walgreens.

No one has taken Rainbow or Target yet, but hopefully by next week we will have someone for those also.

Cheap meat at Cub

I know it might be a little late, but yesterday I found hambergur for $.99per lb at Cub in Shakopee. They might have some left so it's worth checking if you are heading that way.

Also this afternoon I was in Eden Prairie and they had Hillshire Farms cheddarwarst 16oz pks for $.99 each. The date on them was March 27th. There were 6 in each pack.

Kellogg's Coupons

Sometimes I forget that not everyone looks at grocery shopping like me. I tend to think of it as a scavenger hunt for coupons as a go throughout the store. Thank goodness Noah is usually very patient with me because it is not uncommon to find us going down every isle in search of new coupons that are out.

It can be problematic when making the list because I tend to have or know of all sorts of non-insert coupons and forget that most of you aren't crazy like me and have no idea what I am talking about.

So, where are these mysterious Kellogg's coupons which I speak of?

Most of my Kellogg's coupons are just from the paper. I have had them for a long time so I don't remember when they came out. I know that there are some expired ones in my stack also.

There are a lot of peelies out there too. I have ones from this fall for B2G1 free. I just traded with this lady on hotcouponworld.com for more because I had used the five I had from this fall. There are peelies for B2 frosted flakes or rice Krispies G1 rice Krispies w/strawberries free. I saw these about 2 weeks ago at Rainbow, but haven't found any at Cub yet. There are also peelies on the special k cereals for free single packet of Special K protein water.

There are also printable Kellogg's coupons. One for $3/2 Raisin Bran. You have to take a short survey and give the right answers to get the $3/2 otherwise you get a $3/3 coupon. I believe the right answers were Post Raisin Bran and 7-12 times per year. There is also one for $1/1 Rice Krispies with Strawberries. There is a new on out for $1 off any produce WYB 2 featured cereals.

I think there are more out there because I saw someone asking for trades of B1G1 free, but I have never seen them. There are also non insert coupons for $.70/1 Frosted Flakes with honey. I ended up with about 10 of these around Christmas time.

I was at the store yesterday and noticed that the signs were still up for all the 5/$10 cereal from last week. Pair that with the cereal on sale this week for $2.50 and the coupons out there it makes for a nice overage each time if you can work it right.

Walgreens deals for this week

Thanks to Karin we have some Walgreens deals this week. Sometimes I just don't see stuff. I love it when people let me know because sometimes there are great deals that I just overlook for some reason. Karin sent me these yesterday. Thanks Karin! Enjoy

Here's what I found at Walgreens:
Coke 12 packs 5/$11
Duracell Coppertop Batteries 2.99 coupon + .75 MF= 2.25
Palmolive Dish Liquid .99 coupon + .25 MF= .74

CVS Printable Coupons

Just to let you all know, CVS has changed the wording on their printable coupons. They now say something to the effect that they are only to be used by those who have received them as an email.

I know for me this was disappointing because I have signed up 4 times and still have never gotten an email from them. I did sign up again so we will see what happens.

If you already have a card you can update your info on their website. It seems like once they have your email you should get all the same coupons that used to be posted on the web.

Weekly List

Alright, here we go. This week seems a little lean. I have noticed that the week before and after a major holiday don't have many good deals. It seems like two weeks before are best for stocking up.

Walmart
Green Easter Grass $0.25
Plastic eggs 48ct $1.68
Jelly Beans $0.50
Breyers Icecream $2.98

I didn't find anything of note at Walgreens this week. I know there are probably some things I missed, but it seemed like most things could be found for less at other stores.

Rainbow
Cooks whole of half ham $.97 per lb with in ad coupon
Roundy's Skim milk $1.88 per gallon with in ad coupon

Cub
The Kellogg's cereal deal is still going on this week. There are a variety of cereals for $2.50 and still many coupons to go with them. For every 7 Kellogg's cereals you buy you get a printout for $10 off your next purchase. The coupon does roll, which means you are able to use the $10 off to buy another 7 cereal and will still get another $10 coupon at the end. It helps to make it free or give you an overage. I have done the deal 3 times and still have some coupons left.

Smokehouse ham $.98 per lb with in ad coupon and $25 purchase
Cub 2pk milk $4.98 with in ad coupon
Grapers First lb Free
Brown n Serve rolls $.88

Vacation, Surgery, and Noah=No Blogging Time

I am thinking about taking a couple of weeks off after I post the list for this week. We are heading to Colorado on Thursday for Easter and then I have a busy week when we get back.

I am not planning on making a list for March 23 or March 30. Becca had a great idea about having guest posters. I think it would be a great way for some of you to try your hand at it. I know a lot of you are finding great deals on your own and I would love if you would be willing to share on the blog for a couple of weeks.

I was thinking that maybe a couple of you would volunteer to be in charge of a store for one of both of the weeks. You could write it up in any manner you wanted, it doesn't have be look like mine. You could email me or just post it as a comment and I would get it onto the front page. It doesn't have to be anything high stress, I just think some of you might have fun at it. I know there is a lot of talent lurking out there. Give it some thought. I might come asking if no one volunteers.

Another thing of note is my dad will be having back surgery in April. There is a long recovery time where he will be needing help. I'm not sure how much time I will be over there while him, I might only be able to do a short list during that time. Just wanted to give you all a heads up on that too.

I should be able to post some of the list tomorrow and finish up on Wednesday. Noah has a slight case of pneumonia, but is doing much better. His med is causing him not to be tired so I don't know how much naptime blogging I will get done.

This weeks list

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on the list for this week. I know that it is getting late. I've been spending a lot of time on it lately, and just needed to take a little break earlier this week to spend some time for me and to really play with Noah. He is so great about playing by himself that it is easy to loose track of how much time I am spending on things like this. I think that I will be able to post most of it this afternoon while he naps, (if he naps). As for right now, we are going to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. Thanks all for understanding.

CAP 50% off day

Just wanted to give a heads up that CAP has 50% off this Friday. I'm not sure if anyone cares about it besides me.

Toddle clothes will be $.50
Children's size 5-16 top $.50
Children's pants 5-16 $1.00
All Coats/snowpants infant-16 $1.00
Kids shoes/boats $1
Adult Shoes $1.50?
Adult shirts $1-$2?
Jeans $2
Dress pants $2?

Last month I spend $80 on items for Once Upon a Child. I ended up being paid $259.18. I tried to keep track and I think that I spent a total of 10 hours all together on shopping, folding/sorting, and bringing it in. That's almost $18 per hour. I still have two plastic tubs of clothes, but most of it isn't that nice so I will probably only add a little bit of it at a time along with the new things from this coming Friday.

If anyone wants more info on what to look for or things let me know. I'd be happy to help.

Free meduim curly fries at Arby's-Today only

Got an email from Arby's that they are giving away meduim orders of curly fries today to celebrate Matt Kenseth's recent NASCAR win.
It is limit one per person, while supplies last, at participating stores. Not valid with other offers. I think you should be able to just go through the drive through and get them.

It says you can get them one of three ways.
1. Print and bring in the email (I can forward it to you if you need)
2. Print the official race results from NASCAR
3. Clip results from the paper and bring them in

Hope some of you will be able to use things. Enjoy

What's Free this week at CVS

I just found this great thread on Hotcouponworld. Some of you might have already seen it. It lists out all the items that are free for the week and what coupons you need to use. It doesn't seem to include any $/$$ coupons so these deals could be money makes if you have those coupons to add in. Here is the link so you can check it out, CVS free this week.

Random updates

I didn't have a lot of time this week for blog updates, but I am still planning on adding to the CVS filler/overage ideas.

Also I'll be adding a post about Once Upon a Child soon. I know some of you have asked about how it works and what I do. If you have any ideas on things you would like to see just let me know. You could add a comment on the blog or just send an email.

For now the coupon train is on hold. There were about 4 people who let me know they were interested. I'm trying to figure out the best way to do it so that it doesn't take so long for each person to get the coupons.

This weeks deals

Hi all,

This week seems to be a slow week. I seem to feel the need to search extra hard on weeks like this to find some great deal. I tend to spend way too much time looking for it and just need to realize that it's not out there, or is heaven forbid it is there and I miss it that it will be alright and life will go on for all of us.

My paper didn't have a Walgreens ad in it this week so unless Noah and I stop over there we won't have a WG list this week.

There are a couple of things that I am not sure on the price yet. I am putting them in so you can watch for them and will try to edit later when I have a chance to go to the store.

Aldi
Carrots 2lb $.69
Yellow onion 3lb $.79
Russet Potatoes 5lb $1.49
Sweet or red onions 2lb $.79

Rainbow
Milk $2.50 per gallon, -$1/1 milk peelie from Target=1/$1.50
Kraft salad dressing 16 oz $2.86, -50% off, -$.75/2=2/$2.11 +$1 free produce WYB 2 (tear pad)
LifeSavers 2.75-7oz bags $1, -$1/2 MF, =2/$1
Roundy's white bread $.66
Northland Cranberry Juice blends $3, -$1/1 Blinkie currently at cub=1/$2
Spaghettios $.60, -$.40/2=2/$.80
Muir Glen organic soups $2, -$.75/1, -$1 OYNO WYB 4=4/$4

CUB

There are many BOGO meat coupons this week. I'm not sure on the actual price per lb on most of them I am just going to leave them off. There are coupons for the Patrick Cudahy bacon and also the Bob Evans sausage. I didn't notice for anything else, but will check again later after I get my coupons sorted.

Grapes, First lb free with in ad coupon=FREE
Mangoes $.88 each
Kraft dressing $1.66, -$.75/2=2/$2.57 +$1 free produce WYB 2 (tear pad coupon)
Bertolli 24 oz $6.99
Ben and Jerrys $3
Total=$9.99
-$2 off your order in ad coupon
-$2.50 printable bertolli here (had to use internet explorer for mine)
-$.25 Cub coupon for ben and jerry's (this weeks coupon insert)
Total=$5.24 not a great deal, but not bad for a dinner/movie and icecream night
Lean Cuisine $?, -50% off, -$1/5=5/? (might be possible to price match the 50% off at walmart for better savings. Their everyday price should be much lower then cub's so 50% off would make for a better deal)
EggLands best $2.53, -$.50 MF=1/$2.03 I noticed this weekend that with the coupon these were only a couple of cents more then the cub brand. I haven't tried them yet, but have been told they taste much better then regular eggs.

I'll keep adding the other stores as I get a chance. Sorry I didn't get the list finished last week. I'm hoping to get one more store done tonight and then work on the rest tomorrow during nap time.

Alright, I'm finally getting back to this. I got the last couple of stores written down last night, but it was just too late to try and post them on the computer. I still haven't been out this week, so no Walgreens ad. Noah and I are going out this afternoon so I will try to stop in and grab one. Hopefully they will have next months Easy Saver book out so I can get one of those too.

First, there are a couple of additions to the stores at the top of the list.

Rainbow
Suave $.79, -$1/2 MF =2/$.58
Quacker instant oatmeal $3.36, -50% off sale, -$.40/1=1/$1.28 There are also $1/1 coupons for the simple harvest veriaty. I'm not sure if it is on sale or not,but the price would be 1/$.68

Cub
For the Bertolli/Ben and Jerry deal there is a Cub coupon that was in the Sunday paper. It is for $1/1 Bertolli. When I looked at it the first time I thought that it was $1/2 so I didn't add it. The final price with all coupons would be $4.24 for the Bertolli and Ben & Jerry's.

Now onto the new stores;

Snyders

There is an in-ad coupon for a free 8x10 scrapbook page. I haven't looked into it too much, but I think it is the type you make at the Kioske. The coupon says "Free 8x10 instant scrapbook pages" The coupon is on page 3. It does say limit one even though the coupon says "pages."

Snapple water $.80, $1/2mf=2/.60
Tick Tacs $.89, 2/$1 in ad coupon, $.55/2=2/$.45
Bic comfort 3 disposable razor 2/$5, -$2/1MF=1/$.50

Target
This is the last week for the MP frozen fish coupon, and the banana coupon. I found more sting cheese yesterday. They had two unopend boxes and two open boxes in Shakopee. It seems like the Super Targets have fulled it off the shelf for now. Everyone I have checked doesn't seem to have it. The Exp date was June something so the ones in the new boxes are good for a long time.

Market Pantry string cheese $0.24, -.50/2 Target coupon (TC)=2/free (coupon is not adjusting automatically)
Market Pantry fish sticks $2.54, -$1.00/1 TC=1/$1.54
Bananas .52 per lb, -$0.50/2 lbs=2lbs/$0.54
Morning Star Veggi products $2.99, -$2 TC, -$.75/1 MF=1/$.25

Glad wisp flamless candle. $5.99, $5.00/1 IP here=1/$.99

CVS
The only current coupons are $4/20. There were a lot of coupons from last week that your store might let you use. I know in Shakopee I have been told it is alright to use coupons for a little over a week after the exp date.

Revlon, Buy $20, get $10 ECB, there are various $1 and $2 MF coupons, -$4/$20 CVS=Not sure on the final price, but even if you only buy 2 products and use 2 $1/1 coupons the most you would pay is $4 there are many better options, but it depends on that you want to get. Limit 3
Nestle easter candy $2.50, -Buy $10, get $5 ECB $1/2 IP here=4/$3
Venus Embrace $9.99, -$2/1MF, -$2/1 CVS from last week, -$6 ECB=Free with $.o1

Gillette Fusion $9.99, -$4/1 MF, -$6.00 ECB=1/Free with $.01 overage. This deal is limit one Embrace OR on Fusion. You can't get the ECBs on both.

Irish Spring 3pk soap $1.79, -$.30/1, -$1 ECB=1/$.49 Limit one Softsoap or Irish Spring, you can't get ECB on both.

I think that is everything for this week. I know I've said it before, but please let me know if there are things that you use a lot or are looking for a deal on. Sometimes I don't even notice a good deal because I don't use the product. I'd be happy to keep my eye out if you let me know about something you would like.

Morning Star at Target-Free with overage

Today Becca and I found the Morning Star mushroom and cheese bites are on clearance. They were marked $2.49, but rang up for $1.40 something. Using the $2 Target coupon makes them free with overage.

More Free Flat Earth chips

Becky let me know that they have reset the Flat Earth Free coupon. You are now able to print two more coupons. This is the link for the free coupon www.flatearth.com

This works great with a deal at Rainbow this week. Flat Earth chips are $3 each, but if you get 3 then a coupon will print for $4 OYNO. Use the first printable free you get and the two new printables to make $4. If you only have the two new coupons there is a tear pad coupon on the display for $.55/1. Your total would be $2.45 and you would get $4 OYNO. Not free to start with, but still a money maker in the end.

Thanks Becky for the great find!!!

Weekly list for 2-17

Here we are at the start of another new week with more ads to go through. Like last week, I am going to post here as I get things done and then will email out the list when it is complete. I think there are still some just doing email so I don't want them to miss out.

I didn't get a Target ad in my paper so not sure if I will have all the deals for Target. There are new coupons this week. You can find all the current coupons here at hotcouponworld.com.

Diaper and Pull-up clearance

I was reading today that both CVS and Walgreens have diapers on clearance. Some stores are still Reg. price, but it would be worth a look if you are there.

At Walgreens it is Huggies jumbo packs. So far the only sizes working at 1 and 2. They are the Lion King print and are ringing up for $2.49.

CVS has Boys Huggies Pull-Ups for $2.79. I think they are the jumbo pack as well. They have Toy story on them.

There are $2/1 coupons for the Pull-Ups, and varies coupons for the diapers. I know there are $1/1 insert coupons from a couple of weeks ago, but also there are home mailer coupons for higher values.

I'll try to check in Shakopee tonight. I'll try to keep a list of stores that do or don't have them. If you check one let me know and I'll add it to the list.

Shakopee CVS does not have the Pull-ups. Didn't make it to Walgreens
