What I got at CAP

I said I would post later about what I ended up getting at the CAP $.50 sale. Noah has been throwing up every other day this week so I wasn't sure I would be able to go. Nathan came over in the morning Friday and played with him so I was able to go. Thanks Nathan!!!

I spend a little over a hour there in the morning. There were some really nice girl items, but not too many boy things. All in all I spend $78 which means 156 items to sell.

Noah was feeling great when I got home so Jekka came over and played. Later we went back to CAP and I again found lots of things. I spend $30.68 the second time. $9.68 was on toys.

I think I spend $2 on things for Noah so the grand total of OUAC things was $106.68. Oh, add in the $2.50 for the books from a couple of days ago and it comes to $109.18.

I brought it in the afternoon and make $103.xx. Almost out of the red. I also got Starbucks for myself and Nathan yesterday as a thanks for watching Noah.

Start of the month $100
Spent on more items $109.18
Spent on Noah $2
Spent on Treats $9
Total= -$20.18

Make at OUAC=$103

Total=$82.82

I'm hoping that I will be able to bring it it EP tomorrow and then to the one in Burnsville on Monday. After that I want to pack it up and put it away for the rest of the month. At least until the 21st which is when the next 1/2 sale is. After Monday I'll be able to figure out all the numbers and see how I actually did.

When all is said and done, after exspensed and giving my title, I'd like up be up about $150 for this round. It's ambitious, but I did so well today that I think it might be possible.

Spending update-What did she buy today?

I brought the stuff from yesterday to OUAC and did some grociery shopping while I was waiting. Nothing too exciting, but I'm please with it.

At Rainbow I got Barilla pasta. It is BOGO this week. We tend to like Barilla better then Cremett or Archer Farms so when I find it on sale I stock-up. Also the price of wheat has gone up A LOT!!! so the price of pasta will be going up after not too long.

I got 16 boxes of pasta. One was $1.65 and the rest were $1.29 and then 1/2 off that.

I also for 1 doz eggs. They are on sale for $.98, but there was a limit of one.

All in all I spent 11.65

I also went to Cub. I had a raincheck for $1 64 oz Land O Lakes OJ. It expired on 3-23-08, but I asked if I could use it and the super nice CS lady said no, but she would write me a new one. Just a little reminder that it doesn't hurt to ask and sometimes it works out just right.

I got 5 OJ. Three for me and two for mom.

I also got 2 Simply Orange 59oz OJ. I found a coupon on Sunday for 2/$3. This is my favorate brand and a great price because just one bottle was $3.xx.

All total I got 7 bottles of OJ for $8. I usually don't buy OJ. When I find it on sale I like to get it though. Being I don't drink milk it helps me get the calcium I need and it's nice to have something for me to drink besides water and apple juice.

My grand total for the day was$19.65. Being I am giving two OJ to Mom I'm not going to count those $2.

On the plus side I filled a scrip at CVS today. My Co-pay was $3 which went on a gift card. I had a coupon for filling the scrip so I got a new $25 gift card so I am up $22 at CVS. Seems like a good deal in my book.

Spending this trip:$17.65
Total spending for the month:$18.33
Total left to spend:$56.67+$10 OYNO @ Cub

Spending update for the month of April

I guess today starts the first of posting what I end up getting for my $75 +$10 at Cub this month. I was at Target and they had Nestle chocolate chips on clearance. They won't regular Toll House chips, but something a little fancier. I don't have the bag with me right now so not sure what the real name is. Any way, They were $1.68 and I had a $1/1 coupon so I spend $.68 on a bag of chips.

Total $.68
Left to spend $74.32

I do have a bunch of change in my purse which I use for random things so my totals might end up being a little off, but for the most part they should be close.

I also used $2.50 of the OUAC $ for books at CAP. You can see the post below if you are interested. I usually only made about $.20-$.40 on books so not really sure how much profit this will be. I also want to pull out the best ones to keep for Noah. I'll probably bring them in this weekend being CAP has a sale on Friday and I will be getting more clothes. I'll try to post on it later.

CAP

I stopped at CAP today and they are having a book sale today and tomorrow. All the books you can fit into a bag for $.50. I found some really nice good and a bunch of average ones. There were even some pop-up books and coloring books.

Noah was a handful and kept running around and then decided it was fun to run and hide behind the register. It was way past nap time so I will give him that, but we left before I was done looking.

They are also having a clothing sale on Friday. All Clothes and Shoes for $.50. There was some really nice stuff there today so we will see what is left by Friday morning. I'll have the stroller back from mom for sure so things should go better with Noah. He's usually very good as long as the snacks hold out. :) If anyone has the day off and wants to come along let me know.

Cub list for this week

Here is the list for Cub. Becca was in charge of it again this week. Thanks for all the work!

Here's my Cub list:
Little Debbie 100 Calorie snacks 5/$6. .25 printable coupon found here: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=785966 Total = $1 each. The coupon says that it is for "Any Little Debbie Family Pack" so I'm assuming they will work.
B1G1 Strawberries coupon
B1G1 Potatoes Coupon
.88 mangos (is this a good deal?)
Totinos Pizza Rolls 10/$10, .40 mfc = $.60 each
Blue Bunny Ice Cream $3/9.99, printable $1.00 coupon here: http://www.bluebunny.com/Coupons.aspx total =$2.33
Rice A Roni 10/$10 I KNOW there are coupons out there, but I used mine a couple of weeks ago. I checked the coupon database on HCW and there were .50/2 and $1.00/4 in the 1/6/08 ad. If you have these coupons they would be .75 each I still think $1.00 is still good too.
I think I might go for the General Mills deal that was on the front page of the ad this week. If I do it will look like this: (am going mostly for work snacks because I have way too much cereal to get any more)
5/.50 off coupons for the Caribou Coffee bars
2 .75 off 2 coupons for Sweet and Salty bars
1 .40 off Fiber One bars
10/$25-$10 (Cub Coupon) = $15 - $4.40 (above manufactures coupons) =$10.60 or $1.06 per box of granola bars. This deal will work out differently depending on your choices and your coupons.
This is about all I can find right now. Please feel free to make any additions or comments.

Goal for the month

So all who know me well realize that, when I am feeling well, I am goal oriented and also an overacheever. I like a good challenge and strive not only to meet it, but to surpass it.

Well, with that said I set a goal for myself today. At the moment there is $275 in the OUAC fund. $100 is set aside for Shakolee that mom was supposed to order a month ago and still hasn't ordered. Another $100 is for buying more clothes to go round and round with this game that I play. This leaves $75. My goal is to take that $75 and also a $10 off any purchase at Cub and use that for all the groceries and health and beauty items for the month.

I do have some ECBs for CVS to add into this total, but for the most part I will only be using overages from other products I will be getting for free instead of spening all my ECBs this month and having nothing left to use later.

We all know money is tight during Seminary, but it's not so tight this is a necessary. I just wanted a challenge and wanted to see if I could do it. I think that it is good timing also being tomorrow is the start of the month.

I'm planning on shopping as normal for the most part. If there is a good stock-up opportunity I will still get it. I will say that I do have enough milk for two weeks right now so that will make a big difference in the totals.

I thought it might be fun to get a running tally and list what I have been spending on. I might get a little embraced because my shopping trips are pretty random at times, but we'll see how it goes. Everyone will just have to remember, what I buy isn't what we have for supper each day. :)

I am thinking about ordering coupons. I haven't decided if this will come out of the $75 or not. I usually take it from the grocery budget being it saves grocery money, but we'll see how it goes.

Hopefully I will be able to keep up and post as I get things.

Random updates and offers

Hi, just some random things to add to the deals the other ladies are offering this week.

Kohls is having a promo that is our sign up for their email you will get a $5 off coupon. Here is the link.

Also, There is a coupon in the Snyders ad for a free 8x10 scrapbook layout from their instant print type machine.

There is a coupon in the Walgrees ad for a free ink refill on Wednesday. Just an FYI, I have heard the color ink doesn't always look the best, but the black is supposed to be fine. They can't refill Canon cartages because they are pressurized. There is one more brand too, but I can't remember what it is right now.

Think that is it for now.

Walgreens for the week

Here is the Walgreens list for the week. Thanks Karin

I didn't find much at Walgreens this week.

Degree or Dove Antiperspirant/Deodorant $1.99

There are a few free items if you do the mail-in rebate:
Aquafresh Toothpaste
Colgate 360 Clean or Deep Clean Toothbrush
Jane Be Pure Mineral Blush or Kabuki Brush
Tums Quick Pak
Wal-Zyr 24-hour allergy relief

CVS This week

Becky has already sent in the CVS list for this week. I am so impressed with how on top of things she is. Thanks Becky for all the great deals!

CVS this week…..

Twizzlers buy one get on free = 2 for $2.29

Women’s and Men’s Mennen deodorant 2/$5 and you get $3 ECBs when two are bought. In today’s Sunday paper there was $1 off coupon and 75 cents off coupon so you would end up getting 2 for 25 cents after ECBs. I did have two $1 off coupons that I printed off but not sure where I got those from I think it was Smartsource.com then you get 2 for free after ECBs. Limit is 5 $3 ECBs.

Kotex pads 2/$5. I had 2 $1 off CVS coupons and then 2 $2 off coupons that were mailed to me so I made $1 off this deal. I think there have been some Sunday paper coupons for these as well.

Softsoap Spa - $4.99 and get $4.99 in ECB’s = Free and I had three $1.00 off coupons two were on line and one in the paper. Shakopee had one on the shelf and I asked the guy if they had more and he went back and got two boxes. Limit is 5 on these. The link I got my coupon from is currently not working I will keep trying and email it to Esther if it starts to work.

Act mouth wash. I had a $1 off CVS coupon and then there was $1 off coupon in today’s paper so I got it for $2.99.

Last night I changed my email on my CVS account and I got emailed to me a $4 off a $20 purchase coupon.

Quarterly Extra bucks print out on April 1 and then there will be the new monthly deals.

Check out smartsource.com for the Mennen deodorant coupon and then there is all one for $2 off Excedrin. I think on smartsource.com you are able to print two of each coupon and then the coupon goes away because I don’t see either of these on mine anymore. Anyway the coupon will be a money maker on the Excedrin next week. It is $1.99 with $1.00 back in ECB so it would be .99 cents and then use the $2.00 coupon and make $1.00.

There might be some other good deals this week too but these were the ones that stuck out for me.
