This Weeks List
I don't think there will be a list this week. Noah caught what auntie Krista had and I'm not feeling too hot either. If things turn around I'll work on it later this week, but my coupons are a mess and haven't been filed for probably a month so I should really spend some time getting things back together.

Ironic Side Note
So most of you know that I went to Cub a LOT last week. Over and over again to get all the bacon and beans. Finally we used all, but one coupon and were done.
I walked into cub tonight to get a movie and found that the bacon was now on sale for $2. AUGH!!! I would have had all the bacon for free and gotten it all in one simple trip if I would have known somehow.
This is a great deal for anyone who was thinking about ordering coupons. If you wanted some bacon, but didn't get your coupons you would be able to get it for free now. Check my post from last week about the bacon for the link to the clipping site with coupons.

Coupon Gold
So I was at the store on Friday afternoon and found a new tearpad. They weren't there Thrusday evening when we went for bacon so they must have been put out over night while they were stocking.
The coupon was for $1/1 any 5 oz or larger Nabisco cookies or crackers exp 9-30-08.
Anyway, 3 of the 6 pads were already gone and the others were half gone. I grabbed a handful and didn't think much about it.
Saturday morning I realized I had more then I would probably use so I listed them for trade on hotcouponworld.com. Within 24 hours I had over 12 requests to trade. Some people asking for up to 30, others just asking for LOTS. I could have traded over 200 if I had them. A couple people even offered 20% of the face value, so $.20 per coupon + shipping.
I ended up posting them as an auction so people could bid on them and everyone would have a fair change. I looked on ebay and they are selling for 25/$7 with over 12 hours left. It's tempting to put them on there, but I'm really hoping to get a few new peelies that I read about. They are for Free Kraft Cheese (up to $4.99) WYB 2 Nabisco crackers. If I could get some of those then I could end up with cheap crackers and a LOT of cheese. Jason would love me forever for all that cheese (not that he doesn't already).

Over Budget
Alright, so I went a little over budget last week. It wasn't for anything we NEEDED, but I wanted to get more cheese while it was on sale instead of paying more for it later. Noah has been eating up to two grilled cheese for lunch almost every day so I wanted to stock up.

2 Kraft To Go dressing $1.66
Total $12.20

Total Spending this Month $97.73
Total Left to Spend $0
Overbudget $2.93
There are a lot of variables as to why I am over budget. Part of it is the deodorant, but it was 1) needed, 2) on clearance, 3) being discontinued and we won't be able to get the right one any longer.
The real thing is the only thing we NEEDED was the deodorant. The thing with how I shop is that I don't tend to buy things when I need them, but when they are on sale for the lowest price. It just happened that this past week there were a lot of items that we will be needing soon on sale for a really good price. I spent a little more now in order to save more later.
My goal with this budget challenge is not to go over even when I am stocking up on things. I don't want to have to make exceptions for stockpiling because then it seems like you would never know how much you are really spending on groceries/toiletries.
So will I spend anything this week? Good question. At this point I could feed an army for a month and not need to go shopping, but that doesn't mean I always have what I need to make a complete meal. Cherries are on sale this week so I might bite the bullet and get some even though I am over. I'll just have to take a look at the ads and see if there is anything else I actually need.
