5 Cans of Progresso Soup for $.50. Free after only one MF coupon

I just saw this posted and haven't confirmed yet, but did get the ad in my junk mail so I know at least in theory it should work.

Byerly's has Progresso soup on sale for 10/$11. There is also a sale that for every 5 General Mills participating products you get $5 off your order. Progresso is one of the products.

The deal should work in sets of 5 like this

5 soup=$5.50
-$5 off for buying 5 participating GM products
Total OOP $.50

There are also MF coupons out for these. I think they are $.50/2. I know I ordered some a few weeks ago and wasn't able to use them at Rainbow. I felt really bad about wasting them and now I am jumping up and down because it will make this into a small money maker.

It is reported that they are limiting this to 20 cans per person. Not sure if this truly means per person, or per transaction as there is usually some leway between the two. The deal is only available until October 9, so hurry and get your soup!!!

Here is a link to the ad and also a link to the their store locator so you can find the closest one.

October Budget

I'm starting the budget for October. Because of the Glade deal it is a little hard to have exact figures. I had some Catilinas before the month started and being I didn't do anything for September this first post might look a little strange.

Printed a copy off the website at the Kiosk and brought it to CS to show them it was on their site and ask if the cashier was correct. The CSM came over and made a big deal out of the cashier was missinformed and gave me the grapes for free. It wasn't really a big deal to me. I just asked CS to make sure I knew what their policy was.

Updates

I don't seem to be doing very well keeping up with the blog. It seems like since school started I've been going a lot of other things and haven't even been turning on the computer. I have wonderful intentions to keep up with it, but it seems to be the easiest thing to let slip because I'm not really sure anyone actually reads this.

Another reason why the blog has been suffering is that we are expecting in April. Although I am feeling much better this time around, I just don't have the energy to stay up until 2 am most nights and type up grocery lists.

Hopefully as I start to have a little more energy I will be able to get caught up on things and be posting more often. I have gotten about half the coupons clipped and filed, but that still leaves around 20+ inserts to go through.

I'm going to start October's budget and completely skip over September. I probably spend around $95 instead of $85. Not too bad, but still over budget. Lately there have been a lot of free items or money makes which will make this coming month a great stock up month.

I'm not holding as close to the $85 as before. With being pregnant, I don't have the energy to find the great deals and drive around to get them. Plus, I want to make sure I am getting the extra tings the baby will need, which aren't always on sale. I don't really want to go over, but if I do I'm not making a big deal out of it unless it is by a whole bunch.

Free Grapes

Two different stores are offering free grapes this week!

Cub has an in ad coupon for one free lb of grapes. No minimum purchase is required so you can just get grapes if you want.

Target has grapes for $1 per lb this week. There are new Target coupons out and one of them is for $1 off grapes minimum purchase of one lb. If you just get a pound then they will be free just like at Cub.

What's good this week?

There are a lot of good deals this week. I've been looking all day so that I could get my coupons ordered. It seems like I am ordering coupons every week now. I either get something for myself, or something for church. This week is was 65 coupons for $1/1 Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers, and 20 BOGO Glade Gel Plug-Ins.

Both of these are for deals found at Cub. The veggies are on sale for $1 this week, meaning free after the coupon. It will help keep costs down for Simple Supper at church. The Glade Gel Plug-Ins have been on sale for $1.69. Each one purchased prints a $2 OYNO. It makes them a slight money maker of $.31 without any coupon. With the BOGO coupon each set of 2 will cost $1.69 and I will get 2 $2 OYNO for a total of $2.31 overage for each. This is banking that they will still be $1.69 by the time the coupons get here. If so I will have a total money maker of $41.85 if I deduct the $4.35 paid for coupons and shipping.

I think for now, considering my headache and the time of night or morning as it may be, I am going to leave it at this and hope to get back to all the deals a little later.

This week is super busy with a Seminets meeting tomorrow night, Double coupons and Simple Supper on Wednesday, Wedding setup Friday, and then the wedding on Saturday. I'll do my best to get a list typed up. It will depend on nap time on Tuesday and Thursday.

Walgreens

I haven't looked much at Walgreens this week, but just found a great IP so wanted to post before I lost the address.

Nestle semi sweet morsels $1.99 with in ad coupons, - $1.50/1 IP=1/$.50 Some people have been able to print up to 4 per computer. If you have problems, log into the sight, then go back the the $1.50/1 link and try again. If you don't go back to the original link it sounds like you only get a $.50/1 instead of the $1.50/1.

I'll keep adding to Walgreens in this post as I find things so make sure to scroll down if there are other posts later in the week.

Kraft mac n cheese $.69 with in ad coupon. ($.66 regular price at Walmart last week, but if you have RR to spend this is a good deal.)

Rimmel Cosmetics BOGO, -Bogo Rimmel Colour Rush eye shadow from Aug issue of All You=2/Free

A start to this weeks list.

I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things. I have the list of Rainbow made up, but nothing else yet. There might be things that I missed. I haven't filed any coupons for over two months now. It's kind of hard to know what to look for when I'm not sure what coupons are out there.

Here is what I found so far. Don't forget that if you shop and Wednesday you will be able to double up to 5 coupons if you spend $25 or more BEFORE manufacture coupons.

Green Gaint Steamers $.88, -$1/1 IP and insert=1/$.12 overage
Green grapes $.99 per lb
10lb potatoes $2.49
1lb baby carrots $.88
Roundy's White bread $.68
Dove Large chocolate bar $1, -$1/1= Free
Dannon 320z yogurt $2, -$1/2 (blinki found at Rainbow 2 wks ago)=2/$3
3lb Gala organic apple $3.49

I'll add Ali also being it is so short. Remember that if Aldi, or any other store, is out of your way you can always take the flyer to Walmart and pricematch there. Usually they need to call someone to help, but it doesn't usually take long.

Green Peppers 3pk $.79
Mango $.49
Avacados $.59
Canned beans, black or garbanzo $.49 (can sub for store brand at WM)

I'll be working on the other stores throughout the week. That's the plan at least. Thanks for hanging in there while I get back in the game.

Walgreens
In light of the previous post I am just going to ad up the total OOP for all my Walgreens stops. I don't think anyone wants to read it twice and it would get rather long to type again.

Total OOP $7.71. $5.79 in cash and $1.92 in giftcards.
Total RR earned $24, + still owed $20 in RR for a total of $44 in RR.

Walmart
15 Reach Dental floss $.97, -5 $5/3 MF=$10.45 overage
17 Kraft mac n cheese $.66=$11.22
.95 tax
Total OOP $1.72

Total spent so far this month $42.69 + $7 OYNO at Rainbow
Total left to spend $42.31 +$24 in RR at Walgreens (I'm not going to add in the $20 still owed to me until I actually get it.)

How to blow your budget in three easy steps.

So I keep looking at the grocery money left for the month wondering where it all went. Well, I've come up with an answer for at least part of it. Walgreens. It all turned into RR good only at Walgreens. The whole ordeal goes something like this.

Step 1: Jason mentions on Sunday that he is out of allergy meds and would really appreciate some more.

Step 2: Look through ads and discover the best deal is at Walgreens which looks like this.

3 Tylenol Allergy Rapid Release $4.99
6 Carefree 22 count panty liners $1.22

Use
Walgreens in ad coupon for $.99 Carefree
3 $5/3 MF good on many products including both Carefree and Tylenol(These were in the Rainbow ad about three weeks ago. They were MF that expired on 9-10-08)

My OOP would $6 before tax and I would receive a $4 RR. I figured that $2 for 3 boxes of allergy meds was a pretty good deal.

Step 3: When I got to Walgreens I found out there was a $1.50 per box coupon in the monthly book which brought my OOP down to $1.41 after tax. To top it off instead of getting a $4 RR I got a $2 and $4 RR. Instead of paying $2 for everything I made $4.59.

Being I had a bunch of coupons left, and got Becca's extra coupons, so I planned on doing the deal as many times as possible the next day. I did it twice turning the day and then went in the evening and found an even better deal.

There was a sign under some of the liquid Tylenol cold med, buy 2 get $5. but 3 get $10. These also qualified for the $1.50 off Walgreens coupon so the OOP would still be $1.41, but instead of $6 in RR it would be $10.

I did two different orders like that, but the RR didn't print. The assistant manager wasn't sure what to do so she took my info and said she would talk with the manager first thing in the morning and call me. Well, they still owe me $20. She didn't call yesterday. I called today and was told she wasn't in and that they would leave a message, but the boy never took my name or # so not really sure that the "message" will actually get to her. I'm planning on stopping in with my receipts tomorrow.

My total OOP was $8.71 with $1.92 of that on a gift card. I did use some RR to lower my OOP, but couldn't use them on most transactions because it would not print out a new RR if I did. I know have $24 in RR with another $20 owed to be.

All told I ended up with 52 Carefree, 4 bottles of Children's Tylenol, 3 Tylenol Cold and Sinus 24ct, 8 bottles of Daytime/Nighttime Tylenol liquid cold meds, and 15 boxes of Tylenol Allergy meds.

I'm not really sure why it is only 52 Carefree because if I got 2 for every Tylenol it should be 60 Carefree.

Although this doesn't really explain where all my $ went so far this month at least I know where about $7 went. Plus, I have lots of RR to spend in the next two weeks on milk and other items.

One more link

Found this one to add. There are quite a few good coupons here too. The $1/1 works well with the Taco seasoning on sale at Rainbow this week for $.59 each. Also there are peelies for b2g1 free so it would be 3/$.18

bettycrocker

Just some interesting IPs

Well, it's been a while, but I'm back. Just needed a little break. My coupons are a mess which makes it hard to spot a good deal. Here are some IPs that I found while looking around today to tide everyone over until I can get my coupons in order and make up a list. Happy Printing!

$1/1 Quaker instant Oatmeal

BOGO Sierra Mist

$1/1 Cheerios #1

$1/1 Cheerios #2

$2/1 Any Kashi (great for the Target gift card deal next week)

$1/1 Buitoni (there is a $1/1 Target IP out right now also. Cheapest pasta is supposed to be around $1.85)

$1/1 Totino's Pizza Rolls

$1/1 Ronzoni Bistro pasta (Supposed to be around $1 when on sale.)

$1/1 Any Johnson's Buddies #1 (use on buddy bar soap to make them free)

$1/1 Any Johnson's Buddies #2

$2/1 South Beach Living Pizza
(There used to be a deal running at Cub which made these Free with the coupon and RR. I'll try to find out some more info and it and post later. Also reported to be $2 at Walmart so free after the coupon)

$1/1 Any Scott Towels or Tissue

Freesampling.net (There are a lot of great coupons here. It seems have the same offerings as coupons.com which means we might be able to get 2 coupons instead of just one. The Green Giant steamers are supposed to be around $1.30 at Walmart which would make them $.30 after coupon.)

Coupons.com (Not sure if you can print coupons from this and the freesampling.net site.)

Looks like that's it for now. I'll be working on my coupons more next week so hopefully I will be able to get a list made up then.

Free Yogurt at Cub

Cub has Dannon Light and Fit on sale for $1 this week. There are MF coupons for $1/1 4pk which makes them FREE!!

Noah eats yogurt everyday so this is great news for us. I haven't had to pay for yogurt for months now because last time I got a raincheck and there was never enough to fulfill the amount I wanted to they kept extending the raincheck another month. I would get what I needed for the month and then they would deduct that number from the total left on the raincheck and give me a new one good for another month. I didn't plan it like that, but it sure worked well.

If you are interested in ordering coupons here is a link to two sites that have them for sale. Each site if $.10 per coupon. I have ordered from both. Each is dependable, but I like the couponclippers better. Make sure you order no later then Tuesday night or EARLY Wednesday if you want them to get here by Saturday.

Taking a break

As you might have noticed I haven't been keeping up with the blog this week and last. There has been a lot of end of summer busyness going on. On top of that I haven't been feeling well which is making it hard to make the weekly list. I haven't even been looking at things for my personal list.

I have decided just to make it definite and say that I am taking a little vacation from the list. This way I don't struggle to get it out every week and then feel back when I don't get it done. We will be out of town towards the end of August so I think the easiest thing to do it just to start again with the weekly list at the beginning of September.

I'm planning on still updating the budget. I've found that having it all typed up helps me to keep on track and to know where I am spending. I tend to spend a lot less when I put it on the blog. Hopefully I can get last weeks purchases up tonight and go from there.

Thanks all for understanding. Hope you have a great end to your summer. See you when school starts.

August Grocery Budget

Free SoBe Life Water at Target again

Just wanted to make to quick post about the Free SoBe Life Water at Target this week. They are on sale for $1. For every ten bottles that you buy you get a $5 gift card. There are $.50/1 MF out there so if you buy in sets of 10 with ten coupons they will be free after the giftcard.

I've found these coupons at both Holiday gas stations and at Kwik Trip gas stations. They are right on the door of the drink fridges.

Cheap Dinner on the Grill

There is a really good deal at Cub if you like brats and have the coupons left.

HillshireFarm sausage is BOGO in the Cub book for 2/$3.98. There is a tear pad on the Sara Lee bun display in the meat department for $1 off HillshireFarm sausage WYB 1 Bun. There also used to be blinki and tearpad coupons for one free bun WYB 2 of the sausage. Pear that with the Free whole watermelon uo to $3 WYB 1 sausage and 1 bun and get you quite a bit for $3.98. There are also peelie coupons for $1 off any store brand meat WYB 1 Sara Lee bun so you can use two of those and get some other meat too.

This is what I did on Friday
2 Sara Lee hot dog buns $2 each
2 HillshireFarm sausage (cheddarwarst and brat) $3.98 each
2 Personal size watermelon $3 each

Lots of toys 75% off at Target

I was at Target tonight and they had a lot of toys on clearance. Almost all of them were marked 75% off. I got some Thomas things for Noah for Christmas and a couple of other presents.

For $16.98 after tax I got;

2 CARS giant floor coloring pads
2 Neville Thomas the Tank Engine dye cast train
1 Cranky the Crank + track and train get
2 Schleich lambs
1 Schleich Moose

Not as good as usual, but being there were no coupons not bad. Regular price would have been $67.92
