Not blogging anymore?

So here there, everywhere it seems people have been asking me, "So, your not blogging anymore?" It seems that lots of you have been checking, and starting to wonder if I am ever coming back.

Well, I'm back. I took much of the summer off from couponing, but am realizing that I have been spending more then I want to so I am getting back into the swing of things again.

I'll try to start blogging regularly about what I am finding, but 2 kids, minus 1 laptop (still haven't replaced the one that died in May) equals very little time on the computer for me.

Here are just a few of the things that I found for this week.

Rainbow has BOGO Fiber One, and YO-Plus Yogurt 4pks, -2 $1/1=2/$.59
There are also BOGO MF from the back of Fiber One cereal boxes. Check your stash of cereal to see if you have any.

Also, I've heard that starting on Saturday the Trib will be selling early edition Sunday papers for $.50. These should have all the same coupons as the regular Sunday paper, just $1.75 cheaper.

Menu for July 5-11

I'm making supper right now and am excited about it so it prompted me to want to post me menu for this week.

As a side note, mom and are gone for two weeks so she cleaned out the fridge and brought over a few things for us to use. Just wanted to not that these will be making some of the meals cheaper this week.

Hello Again

So I've been really lax about updating since my laptop died. We still haven't gotten a new one, but I must admit I don't really mind. I am enjoying summer so haven't really been thinking of blogging much. I haven't been couponing much either. We have been out of town a lot which makes it harder to keep up with everything.

I do want to get back at it though. I thought maybe a good step would be to start with the menu for this week. I had started posting out menu awhile ago, but faltered as my due date grew closer. I was asked again yesterday, "if we had to eat really strange stuff?", so thought this was as good a place as any. Plus, it's probably the easiest thing to do. ;)

I'll try to do the prices, but I might not be able to remember all of them

Monday-Breakfast for dinner

Eggs $.23
Hashbrowns $.50

Great IP Coupons available

There are some really good Kraft printables available right now. Too many to list them out, but they are on Coupons.com, Couponbug.com, and also at kraftfoods.com.

One of the best deals right now is to print the $1/1 Kraft BBQ sauce coupon then use it at Cub. They are on sale for $.89 plus there is a Cat to go with them;
buy 4 get $2
buy 5 get $2.50
buy 6 or more get $3.

If you buy 6 you should have $3.66 in overage after the coupons and the OYNO .

There is also a good deal on Kraft Mac-N-Cheese. It should be $.75 per box, with a B3G1 free coupons here. Pear that with the Cat that is printing through the Cat that is printing though the end of the month;

Buy 4 & get $1.00 or
Buy 5 & get $1.50 or
Buy 6 or more & get $2.00 coupon off your next shopping order.

It works out the best if you buy 5 and use one of the IPs. It should be $.30 per box after the coupon and the OYNO Cat.

There are more $1/1 Wild Harvest coupons available also. They have 9oz baby carrots for $1.29 this week. Another great deal is the baby food. Stage 2 are $.89 everyday. In EP they self adjust so there is never a question about being able to use the coupon. I'm wishing I would have known about this earlier so I could have been stocking up for Grace.

There is a $1/2 Campbells IP. Chicken Noodle and Tomato are on sale at Rainbow for $.48 with the in ad coupon, limit 4. Makes them free with $0.04 overage for each two you buy. Can also be added into your $25 doubles plan.

My Laptop Died

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not going to be able to update very often for a while. My laptop die last Friday so I am having to use Jason's. It works, but is hard to find a time where he doesn't need it and I have a chunk of time to spend on updating. Hopefully soon we'll get it figured out and I will have more time on the computer. I'll try to still get at least one update each week until we get me a new one.

Highlights of the week

I want to work on a list, but just in case is doesn't get done I'm posting some of the highlights for the week.

Target
There is a new IP coupon for $1 off 1lb or more of bulk apples. There are two kinds of apples on sale this week for $.99 per lb so apples are free when you buy them 1lb at a time.

Cub
There is a $1/1 MF for Fresh Express salad in the Cub coupon book right now. This week there are varieties on sale for $1.25 before the coupon which makes it 1/$.25 after the MF.

Check out the front half page section of your Cub add. Some of the things that stand out to be are the;

Cub 16oz frozen veggies $.47
1lb carrots $.47

The Cub pasta is a good deal also if you like it. I prefer Barilla so I don't think I'll be getting any this week.

There are supposedly peelie coupons in store on some of the Old El Paso products that sweeten the B3G$1, B6G$3 deal. I haven't been shopping yet this week so can't really report on those, but keep an eye out.

If you like Powerade check Holiday gas statations for $.75/2 tearpad coupons. They match up with the B10G5 free MF in this weeks at. It works out to be 15/$5.25 or $.35 per bottle with the tearpad coupons.

Rainbow
Barilla Pasta $.99, -$/50/1 for whole grain and the mini pasta(forget the name)=1/$.49

I think this is the short list for now. I'll be working on the whole thing as I get time tonight.

Updates

It seems that I have a lot less blogging time with two kids then one. You wouldn't think that a baby who sleeps all day would make a difference, but I guess that she does.

Noah's been napping for a while now so I figured that this would be a great time to attempt to get a few things posted on here. I'll be working on the weekly list throughout the afternoon and hopefully will be able to update my budget for the month also.

Don't throw out your Sunday paper

Just wanted to let everyone know there is a great coupon in the Sunday paper this week so don't throw it out before grabbing the coupon!

On the back page of the Variety/A&E section of the Star Tribune there is a $2/1 Golden Plump Chicken coupon. This is a great coupon. It can be used together with the BOGO Cub coupons that are frequently in the cub ad.

If for some strange reason you don't happen to want your coupon, let me know. I would be happy to trade you or pay you for it. :)

I'm starting to wonder if I will actually end up with extra at the end of the month. I spent a lot this past week on milk and cereal which has upped my total. I wasn't expecting that. I have enough milk in the fridge for the rest of the month and 6 more coupons for next month. That's almost enough milk to last through the end of May. If they do the twin pack deal again next month then I'll be able to double my milk into 12 gallons. When you look at it that way it seems worth it to have gotten so much cereal/milk this week.

Pudding

Just a budget update tonight. I took Noah to Cub this even to use the $1.25/3 pudding coupons from this weekend. He had a great time putting all the pudding into the cart. I let him bag it up afterward by himself, he thought it was great.

The large boxes of pudding are also $.50 this week. Makes them a better value then the small boxes, but the only regular flavors are chocolate and vanilla. They also had special ones like Oreo, vanilla with chocolate chips and other things like that.

Cub
21 boxes of Jell-O Pudding $.50
1 Cub large eggs $1.24

-7 $1.25/3 MF found instore
Total OOP $2.99

I listed the $3 OYNO when I was typing up what I had spend on the inital monthly post, but I forgot to add it to my total left for the month. Just wanted to clarify where it came from.

April Budget

I'm starting the April budget. Hopefully I'll be able to stay on track and actually finish it this month.

I'm thinking I might actually be able to end up under budget this month. My pantry is full to the gills and I am thinking it is time to start using up some of the things that are in there. I'm kind of hoping there aren't that many good sales this month cause I don't have much space to put them.

Also this month I am going to track and post how much I spend on extra coupons. I don't usually order many extras, but I thought it might be good to keep track of how much money is going into that and might be interesting for all of you to see when and where to get extra coupons.

Clothes Mentor

Kind of random and probably just for the ladies, but I got an ad from Clothes Mentor yesterday say that they are celebrating their first birthday and everyone gets 30% off all regular price items (except designer hand bags).

For those of you who don't know, Clothes Mentor is a woman's version of Once Upon A Child. You bring in your used clothes and accessories, and they will pay you cash on the spot for the items they want. It's located off of 394/494 in Minnetonka right between OUAC and TRU.

Their prices seem pretty reasonable and they have a nice selection of mid to high end clothing. If your thinking about checking them out, pack up some old clothes and bring them in when you go. They are a little picky, but do pay pretty well. I've gotten around $8 for pants and skirts and a little less for tops.

They didn't have a specific website, but here is the address for the location having the sale.

Clothes Mentor
14200 Wayzata Blvd.
Minnetonka, MN 55305
952-303-6673

Overage on Post cereal at Cub

Cub is offering a Cat for buy 5 Post cereal (over 10oz) get $5 OYNO. Post Trail Mix Crunch is on sale for $2.50 this week. There is a $2/1 IP here. If you use 5 coupons your total will be $2.50 and you will get a $5 OYNO back. Your able to print at least 3 coupons per computer, but some people are reporting that they have been able to get 4.

I haven't tried it yet so I have no idea if the cereal is any good, but I figure if they will pay me $2.50/5 I can just bring it to the food shelf. Might be something to consider if you don't really want the cereal, but won't mind an extra $2.50

Grace Elizabeth

So it's been a little while since I've posted. As many of you know my family has been expecting baby girl Gudim April 4.

I went in for my regular OB about a week and a half ago and again measured much smaller then I should be. After an Ultrasound it was determined that baby's fluid level was too low and I needed to be induced sooner rather then later. We went in last Tuesday morning and Grace Elizabeth Gudim was born Tuesday afternoon.

We came home Thursday afternoon and have spent the week getting adjusted to having another person in the family.

Grace is doing great. She was born at 5lbs, 5oz and dropped to 4lbs, 12oz by the time we came home. At her check up today she was back up to 5lbs, 4.8oz. Her doctor was quite impressed that she gained 1/2 a lb in such a sort time.

I'm probably going to be taking a break from posting for the next week or two. If there is something superb I'll try to get on and post.

Old Navy coupons

Old Navy has a coupon give away going on each week on their site. I just found out about it this afternoon, so I don't have a lot of details yet, but wanted to give everyone a heads up.

It seems like they are offering some great coupons online through their weekly ad site. They are hidden in the site and you need to scroll over them then click to see what the coupon is for.

The offers range from
$75/$100 purchase -yes that is posted correctly
$50/$100
20% off
15% off
10% off
5% off

Once you find a coupon you will be able to print it from your computer and use it in store. There is a very limited # of $75/$100. I think it might be 1000.

I'm not sure if you find and print one coupon if you will be allowed to keep looking for a better coupon. Someone had said it was a limit of one coupon, but it wasn't clear if it was one of each type or one total per computer.

The new coupons reset this evening sometime, 3-12-09. I guess last week they reset around 7:00pm eastern time.

This is the link right here. When I clicked on it to get the link it said they are updating so it might be sooner then I though. Happy hunting. Hope you find a great coupon!!

Kraft Cheese deal at Cub this week

Just wanted to let you know about a good deal at Cub this week with the buy $25 get $10. Credit goes to Vicki Oldfather for letting me know the details. Thanks Vicki!

This is what you need to buy;

3 - Nabisco 100 Calorie Packs - $7.50
$26.50 total
Less - .75 x 4 - Kraft cheese
Less 2.00 x 3 - Crystal Light/100 calorie pack
$17.50
Get back $10 OYNO, $2 OYNO, $3 OYNO

Net - $2.50!!!!

The $.75/1 are blinkies for Kraft 2% cheese. They were in store the past two months, but are gone now. I'm sure many of you picked some up.

I haven't ever seen the $2/crystal light and 100 calorie pack, but I've heard that it is a new tearpad found at Cub this week.

Hope some of you have the cheese coupons and can find the tearpads. It makes for a great deal. I'm sad to say that I had a ton of cheese coupons, but used them all up on Sunday so I'll be missing out on this deal.

Huggies IPs have reset

Basically the title says it all. The Huggies $3/1 and $5/1 have reset. If you printed them last week you should be able to print them again. Also try printing at coupons.com and also at couponbug.com. I was able to print a second set there even though I was maxed out at coupons.com.

There is a change in the wording on the new set of coupons. Instead of Gentle Care or Natural Fit "product" it now says "diaper." This means that the coupons are ONLY valid on the diapers now. I know that it's been nice to get the wipes with the $5 coupons, but make sure you watch which set of coupons you are using if you plan on getting more wipes. I know I will have to try and keep them separate so that I don't use the ones valid on the wipe on diapers when I finally find some at WG. I want to save those and get more wipes with them at Target.

Also, just an FYI; I did try the small tub of wipes last night at Target. They were $2.39? or something like that. I was wondering if we would be allowed overage on them. The coupon did beep, but it was K1'd so everything went fine. Personally, I'm going to need lots of wipes so I don't plan on wasting the $5 IPs on little tubs, but it is nice to know if you are looking for some overage that it will probably work. Just make sure to get the wipe bags or tubs labled "Gentle Care" so that they match the coupon.

I'm stocking up on things like diapers and wipes for baby. I know when I started the blog I was including most of the H&B items into the $85 grocery budget, but for now I've decided to keep these separate. I haven't been doing CVS or WG for months and that is were most of the free H&B items come from.

I do want to track how much I end up spending on baby though, and I also thought it might give some of you good ideas on cheap baby items in case I forget to highlight what I find in another post.

This is what I ended up with last week. Most/all the items from WG were purchased in order to create an overage in RR for the diaper deal this week. I wanted to build up some free money to use for the diapers this week.

Target 3-6-09
4 184ct refill pks Huggies Gentle Care wipes $5.99
Tax $1.56
-4 $5 Gentle Care product IPs
Total $5.52

Target 3-7-09

2 184ct refill pks Huggies Gentle Care wipes $5.99
1 64ct tub Huggies Gentle Care $2.49
Tax $.98
-3 $5 Gentle Care Product IPs
Total $.45

Starting out at WG I had two gift cards. I actually thought one was empty and almost threw it away, but it ended up with around $13 on it. Glad the lady checked for me!! So far all the OOP I've spent has been on these two gift cards.

#7
Vaseline lotion $2.69

-$1.50
Total OOP $1.37 received $2 RR
Here is where things get strange because for some reason I my gift card was deducted for two transactions although I only bought one lotion. Although my OOP was only $1.37 I lost another $1.37 along the way so it's like I paid 2.74 and received $2 RR. I just realized this and although it's a small difference, I kind of feel cheated because I worked hard to build up my overage.

#8
Vaseline lotion $2.69
Tax $.18
-$1.50
Total OOP $1.37 received $2 RR

#9
Vaseline lotion $2.69
Tax $.18
-$1.50
Total OOP $1.37 received $2 RR

In the end I still have $5.39 on one gift card and $14.21 on the other for a total of $19.60. I also have an one $8, 2 $3.50, and 7? $2 RR. It's either 7-8 I just can't remember right now. I know I have just over/under $50 between the gift cards and the RR.

So my total spent on gift cards was $13.52, plus the mysterious $1.37 deduction for a total of $14.89. If I have $29 in RR what means I am up $14.11 overall.

I admit it did take a lot of time and energy, but I only stopped at WG what were on the way to there places I was going so it didn't use extra gas and the shopping part of the process didn't really take all that long.

Budget update

I figured that I should get this down before the week starts and I run out of energy and end up throwing out all the reciepts from this weekend because they are clogging up my purse.

I didn't make it out much last week so not really a whole lot to track.

Total for the month $41.40
Total left to spend $43.60

Hope that made sense to everyone.

Mott's IP to match up with the Target IP

Just wanted post that I found a IP for Mott's products. Right now Target have a printable coupon for $1/1 any 4 or 6pk applesauce. The IP should be for $.55/1. Price checking the applesauce was $1.67 at Shakopee and $1.87 in Chaska. Using both coupons it would range from $.12 to $.32 per 6pk.

Walgreens

Alright, I think I have Walgreens figured out for this week. Who knew making money with coupons could get so complicated!

I'm just going to post my proposed rounds. I haven't been out yet so the prices are what I'm finding on the internet. Also I'm hoping to snag a few more copies of coupons so I'm not sure if I will be able to complete all the rounds. This is just going to be a best case scenario.

Some of you might have more copies of coupons then me and so less, but at lest this will give you an idea of what is possible and you can customize it to the coupons you have and the items you want to buy, or are able to find in store.

Round #1

For those loosing track I should now have
2 $8.00 RR for Blink
4 $3.50 RR for Colgate
3 $2.00 RR for Vaseline

My total OOP this far should be $10.56 or less depending on tax. This means so far a profit of $25.44

At this point I am out of MF coupons. My plan is to roll the rest of the RR back into Dove as follows to maximize my profit.

Round #9,#10
8 Dove soap $.99 with in ad coupon=8/$7.92
Peeps $.39 with in ad coupon (need as filler)
Total before tax $8.31, + $.54=$8.85
-$8 RR from Blink=$.85OOP
Receive $10RR each time

Total OOP for 10 rounds $12.26, Total RR after 10 rounds 2 $10 RR from Dove, 4 $3.50 RR from Colgate, and 3 $2.00 RR from Vaseline. Total Profit $27.74. $10 of my OOP total is sales tax. I'm not sure if I will be paying sales tax or not so my OOP could be as low as $2.26.

My plan is to take the RR from this week and roll them into next week. I might be able to come up with a few more copies of coupons, but for now this is what I can depend on. I'm not really sure if I will be able to come up with enough product in store to make this work, but we will see. We all know there are lots of WG around the area so hopefully I'll be able to do it.

Random Walgreens shopping list

I'm trying to get a handle of what is going on at Walgreens. I really want to do the B $25 Get $10 Huggies deal next week, but I don't want to spend a lot OOP just to end up with $100 in RR in the end.

My goal is to find things this week that would give me an overage in RR to use on next week. There are a couple of things here and there that I am finding, but my head is so stuffy that I'm having a hard time keeping it straight. I thought maybe if I put it all up here that I would be able to sort it out, but also others would be able to use some of the deals that I find.

3-1-09
Starbucks Caramel Macchiato Truffles $4x2
-$6/2 WG ESC
-$1/1 MF
=2/Free

Gilette travel size body wash $.99
-$2/1
or $2/2
=2/+$1.01 overage or 2/Free

Dove body bars
$.99 with in ad coupon
(coupon says limit 3, but usually they will let you get as many as you want_
There is supposed to be a monthly deal for Buy 8 dove products get $8 RR, but it is actually printing out $10 RR.

buy 8 for 7.92 get $10 RR=Profit of $2.08 before tax.

Your should be able to take your $10 Dove RR and roll it into this;

Blink $7.99
Colgate $3.29
Vaseline intensive rescue lotion $2.69
-$2/1 Blink MF insert
-$.75/1 Colgate MF insert
-$1/1 Vaseline
-$10 RR
=$.22 before tax Receive $8 RR for Blink, $3.50 for Colgate, $2 for Vaseline

Take the $8 RR and roll it back into 8 Dove bars and get another $10 RR. You will need to get a small filler in order to be able to use the $8 RR.

Keep the $3.50 and $2 RR for diapers next week, or anything else you might need. After both rounds you would end spending $8.14 OOP before taxes and have $5.50 in RR.

After the first round you would be able to roll them back and forth with almost no OOP before tax and grow your $3.50 and $2 RRs for other purchases.

4-8oz Ritz crackers $1.99, BOGO
-$2/2 MF
=2/Free +$.01 overage

3-8-09

Buy $25 specified products get $10 RR
Huggies $10, -$5 IP, -$3 IP, $1 WG coupon from the WG coloring book
Kotex $3, -$1/1 MF

It looks like the trial size dove deodorant might work for the B8G$10RR deal. This deal is going on all month long so if it works then you can take your $10RR from the Huggies deal and roll it into the Dove deal next week and go back and forth. Still waiting for a few more people to try this, but I'll update when I know more about it. If it works this would be great. It would really help in keeping the OOP down for the diaper deal.

I'm sure there is more going on the next two weeks, but it is getting late so I'll have to try and find them tomorrow.

Cheap or free London Broil at Super Target

On the bottom of the Sunday Trib there is an ad for Super Target. One of the items listed if London Broil for $1.99 per lb. It sounds like most packages are aright around 1 lb.

There is a new Target coupon (TC) for $2 per package of Sutton & Dodge steak or roast. Pairing the coupon with the sale means lots of free or cheap meat.

Jason checked the Chaska ST this evening. They were completley out and had taken down the sign. We are headed to Savage tonight and will report back on the amount of stock. Make sure to get a raincheck if your store if is out.

As a side note, Target had a deal like this a few years ago on chuck steak. We got a bunch and froze it. They tend to do alright if you want to freeze them in the store packaging, but found that you could generally fit two pieces side by side in a one gallon zip bag and it would take up a lot less space in the freezer. Just a tip for those of you planning on getting LOTS.

GREAT Huggies IP coupons

This weekend I came across some great Huggies IP. The first is for $5/1 Huggies Gentle Care and the second is $3/1 Huggies Natural fit diapers. Each can be printed twice per computer.

There seem to be a lot of different links out there for these coupons, but so far I have only been able to print 2 total of each coupon no matter how many links I find.

The $5 coupon if good for any Gentle Care item. The diapers in this style only go up to size 2, but they also make wipes, rash cream, and changing pads

For the $3 coupon the diaper sizes are 3 and up.

Here are the links for you all. If anyone doesn't want them, I'll gladly take them off your hands, hint hint ;)

Good deals for the week

I don't think I will get a list made this week, but I wanted to highlight a few things that stood out to me. I'm sure that there are many more, but these are just a few of the things I noticed.

Rainbow
one gallon Roundy's milk $1.68
Progress $1 Good price is you still have $1.10 IPs left to use.
2lb bag of carrots $1
Farmland sausage 12-16oz $1
Muir glen Salsa $2.50 -$1/1 MF insert or peelie (good price when it doubles)

Aldi
8oz Mushrooms white, sliced, or baby bella $.99
4pk Roma tomatoes $.99

Target
Jason is price checking a few things for me so I'll try to update this later. For now this is what I have.

Huggies Gentle Care 188pk wipes $5.99, -$5 IP=$.99
Ortega taco seasoning $.47, -$1/2 MF=2/.06 overage

Cub
1LB roll Hormel always Tender ground pork $1, -$1/1 MF=1/Free

Selected Kellogg's cereal and poptarts $1.67, -$1/1 MF for cereals and $1/1 peelie for poptarts=1/$.67
Radishes and green onions $.50
Wild Harvest Organic salad $2.50, -$1/1 IP=1/$1.50
Wild Harvest Artisan bread ?? Free WYB 2 Wild Harvest Organic Salad

It sounds like there are some really good deals at Walgreens this week. I'm still trying to figure them out. I am hoping to get it worked out and start building up and overage in RR for next weeks Huggies deal.

March Budget

I really want to try and start the month out right and keep up to date with the budget this month. I'm sure it will depend on if "baby" comes this month, but at least I am off to a good start.

I ended last month about $7 over budget, but still had a $10 OYNO at Cub. Slightly over budget, but not too bad being until baby comes and gets a little bigger I am planning in my head that we won't really be able to stick to the $85 each month. I've been doing pretty good, but it is a little impractical when I have to depend on someone to go shopping with me each time. It can be a lot to ask of people.

I have an awful cold and needed some honey to put in my tea so I went out to Target yesterday morning. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that Ortega taco seasoning was $.47. I knew I has $1/2 coupons so I brought those along. Here is what I ended up with:

24oz Honey $4.59
14 Ortega taco seasoning $.47=$6.58
2 Ortega taco sauce $1.27=$2.54

Used 8 $1/2 Ortega MF
Total $5.71

Total for the month $5.71
Total left to spend $79.29 +$10 OYNO at Cub

Budget Update

We decided to head back to Cub on Saturday night and grab some more soup. All in all we got 30 more cans of soup and another 2 gallons of milk. The grand total for the three transactions was $10.78. I rolled the $10 OYNO and still have one left to use. All in all that puts me at;

This Trip $10.78
Total so far this month $92.15
Total OVER BUDGET $7.15 + $10 OYNO

If you deduct the $10 OYNO I still have $2.85 left, but budgets don't really work that way do they?

I don't see much in the adds this week that interest me. We have plenty of milk and bread on hand so I won't need to be getting those. Jason will be picking up some salad and veggies at Super Target later because they are supposed to be $.50 after the TC.

The only other thing that could add to me being over budget is the Kmart Super Doubles. I'm not sure if I am going to try and get over there or not. If I do go I'll probably stick with just the free or nearly free items, so I don't anticipate spending very much even if I make it over there.

Kmart Super Doubles

It looks like the Kmarts in our area are doing double coupons again this week. They will double MF coupons up to $2 in face value. I didn't read all the fine print, but the only things that really stood out to me where;

#1 Only 4 like coupons doubled at a time.
#2 Limit of 25 coupons doubled per day.
# No IP coupons will be doubled.

I'm not sure if I will be able to make it out this time or not. We'll just have to wait and see. If I go I'll try to post an update about what things are free or great deals. I'm sure if you head over to Hotcouponworld.com or Afullcup.com there will be some sort of list about what is free or what you should be getting.

Free Arby's Roast Burger

Looks like today is the day of "free" internet finds. This one is for a Free Arby's Roast Burger with the purchase of ANY drink. I would assume that you could order a small pop for around $1 and then get the sandwich for free. Looks like a pretty nice sandwich too considering it is free.

Here is the link for the coupon. From here you can print off the coupon. You can also check out their menu to learn more about the sandwich. Looks like there are three types; Cheddar Bacon, All-American, Bacon and Blue.

Free Quiznos Sub

Quiznos is giving away 1 Million subs. All you need to do is enter your info and they will send you an email with a coupon to print. You can get a free "small" Everyday Value, or Signature Classics sub with no other purchase necessary.

I was able to sign up with each email I have access to so we have plenty for now. :) Make sure to check your Junk or Spam folder. That is where they came to for my Gmail account. They came just to the regular inbox for Yahoo and Juno. Not sure about MSN cause I haven't gotten it there yet.

The coupon expired 5 days from when it is sent. I didn't really think of this so all mine expire on Friday, but I was hoping to use this this weekend. Oh well, free is free right?

There is a counter on the page so you can tell how many free subs are left. They have given out about 65,000 in the last three hours. The total # right now is 132,235.

Save $10/10 and also $5/5 at JCPenny's

I've been putzing (sp) on the internet this afternoon and came across two different code for JCPenny's.

The first is an online only code to save $10 off any $10 purchase or more. I haven't tried it yet because I haven't found anything instock that I wanted, but it is reported to be working still.

At checkout enter REWARD into the "promotion code" box and it should deduct $10 from your total.

There is also a $5 off any $5 purchase or more coupon. You do need to sign up for this, but it comes as a printable coupon and can be used in store of online. In order to get the $5 you will need to sign up for JCP Rewards. It's Penny's free rewards program that they started this fall.

Sign up here, and enter 3050 into the "promotional code" box. When you hit submit it will ask for your credit card info so they can track how much you spend and you can earn future rewards. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ENTER A CREDIT CARD. If you don't want to give them your info simply clip "log out" at the top of the page. If you log back in it should show that you have a $5 reward waiting to be printed.

If you don't enter your credit info you won't be able to earn rewards by shopping at Penny's, but may still receive promotional emails and rewards from them. I chose not to enter my info for now, but may add it later.

Both the $10/10 and the $5/5 should be able to be used together online for a total of $15 off any $15 purchase or more. The $5/5 coupon should have an online code on it once it is printed. This code should be entered into the "Reward Certificate" box.

Hope you find some great deals. Any questions, let me know.

Cub shopping trip yesterday

I finally made it to Cub yesterday. Mom was nice enough to take Noah and I, plus bend and lift all the various things I was getting.

We were able to do ten rounds in just over an hour and a half. I was pretty pleased with that being it usually takes much longer then that with this type of deal. We did a set of 3 transaction, 4 transaction, and then another 3 transactions.

The one thing I was disappointed in was that when my coupons came in the mail yesterday the fruit snack coupons were only good on Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-up Fruit Stackers fruit snacks. I had read the description on the website wrong and thought that they would be good on Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-ups, Fruit Stackers, or Fruit Snacks. Not a huge issue, but a I was looking forward to some Gushers and thought Noah would have had fun picking out different types of fruit snacks.

2 Chineese Dinner Kits $3.99 x2=$7.98
1 Gardettos $2
4 Betty Crocker Cake mix $1.29 x4= $5.16
2 Grands Biscquite $1.67=$3.34
1 Sara Lee Soft and Smooth Bread $2
1 Cub twin pack milk $$5.58
Total before coupons=$28.06 + $.14 sales tax =$28.20
$1/2 Any Pillsbury IP= -$1
$1/1 Dinner Kit= -$1
$1.10/1 Dinner Kit = -$1.10
$1 Off milk WYB Sara Lee Soft and Smooth bread= -$1
$2.30 off milk, Cub coupon= -$2.30
-$10 OYNO
-$3.50 OYNO
-$3.99 Free Chex Chocolate Mix (Coupon should have been for $2, but register too off $3.99 max value automatically so cashier could not change it.)
Total $4.30

In the end my total OOP was $22.42 and I still have a $10 OYNO coupon left, so my final total for everything is $12.42. The really sad thing is that $4.97 of this is sales tax on the fruit snacks. If it wasn't for that my total would have been $7.45 Either way it was a great deal!

I think that I am going back tonight for some more soup. Other then that I am done.

Just wanted to add that the only other grocerys this week were on Wednesday at Rainbow. Jason stopped for me on his way home and this is what he got

2 gallons milk $1.68
4 Roundy's cheese $.99
2 Chicken of the Sea $.39
5 Nesquick 20oz chocolate milk
Used 5 $.50/1 Nesquick coupons that doubled
After coupon total was $8.10

That means this week we spent $30.52
Total so far this month $81.37
Total left to spend $3.63 + $10 OYNO

I'm thinking that I will be just a bit over this month if I go back for more soup. I'm planning on getting at least 20 cans for a total of $5 after coupons. I'll probably grab one more two pack of milk if the date if far enough out. I have enough milk right now till mid March so they need to have a pretty good date on it for me to grab one.

Changes to Rainbow Doubles

I finally went to pull my coupons tonight and give the list to Jason so he could stop on his way home. My Sara Lee coupons are expired. I was sure they were good till April, but I was wrong. I had to rework my plan and this is what I came up with:

2 Roundy's Milk $3.36 ($6.58 regular price)
2 Chicken of the see $.78 ($1.58 Regular Price)
1 Fresh Express Spinach $1 ($2.49 Regular Price)
4 Roundy's 8oz cheese $3.96 ($11.96 Regular Price)
Total $9.10 ($22.61 Regular Price)

To this I'll either add
10 Barilla Plus Pasta $?.??, -$1/2 MF
or
5 Nesquik $1, -$.50/1

I'd rather have the pasta, but if it is more expensive then I am willing to pay, then Jason will get the chocolate milk and end up with a treat. My OOP is more then I was thinking, but I don't think I'd be able to find a lower price on any of the items so it will be alright. The free milk or pasta will just be a plus.

Rainbow Doubles Idea

It's not a full list, but at least this will give you an idea of some things that might be good to add to your doubles plan for Wednesday.

I wasn't going to do Rainbow this week after I added up the budget Friday and realized I had spent more then I was thinking. Amazing how that happens when your not paying attention.

I was just going to stick with Cub this week and work on the Buy 10 get $10 deal and maybe do one buy $25 get $10, but after I looked at the Rainbow ad I think I might do one or two rounds as follows.

It comes out to be a really good deal when you can work your doubles off of $25 for the regular price instead of the sale price.

2 Roundy's Milk $3.36 ($9.87 regular price)
2 Chicken of the see $.78 ($1.58 Regular Price)
2 Sara Lee Soft and Smooth bread $4 ($6.98 Regular Price)
1 Fresh Express Spinach $1 ($2.49 Regular Price)
1 Green Gaint Steamers $1 ($1.69 Regular Price)
2 Roundy's 8oz cheese $1.98 ($5.98 Regular Price)
Total $12.12 ($28.59 Regular Price)

-2 $1 off milk WYB Sara Lee soft and Smooth bread-doubled=-$4
-$.50/1 Green Giant Steamers-doubled=-$1
Total $7.12

I still have two coupons that I could double so maybe I'll be able to find a couple of things that would be free after the doubles. I think the Kraft Dressing might be one of them. I'll have to check my coupons.

I also noticed that it says "Kraft Specialty Sauce" is $1. I'm wondering if that is A1 or some type of marinade. If so I think there are $1/1 coupons out for A1. That would make it free and then $1 overage if it doubles. Through in two of those and it would bring the total down to $5.12. At that price I would do two rounds for sure if I can find enough of the coupons to make it work.

Free Fruit Snacks at Cub

Just wanted to let you all know that Betty Crocker fruit snacks are free this week at Cub. They are part of the Buy 10 get $10 OYNO deal. There is also a seperate Cat printing for $3.50 OYNO WYB 5.

The best way to make this deal work is to buy 5 fruit snacks at a time as part of the 10 items needed for the $10 OYNO.

5 Fruit snacks $2, -2 $1/2 MF=10/$8
-$1 per item for the OYNO deal=-$5
-$3.50 OYNO WYB 5 fruit snacks=-$3.50
Total $.50 overage on 5 boxes after you divide out the $10 OYNO coupon per item.

It seems like I work so hard to buy healthy items and then stores go and tempt me with yummy things that have no nutritional value, yet they will give them to me for free! It's pretty hard to resist sometimes.

IP Coupon match-up for this weeks Cub at

Cub as two different sections of Buy X get $XX OYNO this coming week. Some of the items seem to be a very good deal even without coupons. I'm sure there are inesrt coupons out there or most of the items, but I thought I would start a post about IP coupon that would match-up also. Sometimes the IPs are a higher value then the insert coupons.

Pillsbury has many coupons that match the buy 10 items get $10 OYNO. The link works for all of them, but the best ones are;
$.60/1 Cheerios mix= $.40 after coupon
$.60/1 Chex mix= $.40 after coupon
$.75/2 Fruit snacks=2/$1.25 after coupon

Betty Crocker has many of the same coupons as Pillsbury. I haven't printed yet so I am not sure if you can print from both sites. I am guessing you can because they are different web addresses, but not sure. Some of the ones of note here are;
$.60/1 Cheerios mix= $.40 after coupon
$.60/1 Chex mix= $.40 after coupon
$.75/2 Fruit snacks=2/$1.25 after coupon
$.50/1 Betty Crocker cookie mix=$.29 after coupon
$.55/1 Betty Crocker frosting= $.14 after coupon
$.55/1 Betty Crocker Warm Delights= $.29 after coupon

Coupons.com also has a few coupons that will match up. The only ones that really stand out are;
$.60/1 Cheerios snack mix=$.40 after coupon
$1.10/1 Wanchai Ferry chinese Dinner=$1.89 after coupon

RedPlum.com seems to have the same coupons as coupons.com. Not much variety, but it is nice to be able to get multiple coupons if you need them.

Here are some other IPs for the Buy 10 products get $10 OYNO
$1/1 Chex Mix=Free
$1.10/1 Can Progresso Soup-supposed to be a new link=$.60 overage after coupon
Possible second link for $1.10/1 coupon
$1/1 Pillsbury cough dough=$.79 after coupon
$1/2 and $2/4 Progresso soup=2/Free and 4/Free after coupons

Here is what I've found so far for the Buy $25 get $10 OYNO section
$1/2 Crunch 'n Munch=2/$.20

This Months Budget

I realize that I am quite behind in any type of posting. It just seems to take more effort then I have right now with baby. She will be here soon though and then slowing I am hoping things will pick up again. I miss blogging and I miss knowing I'm able to help some of you save some money.

I'm going to attempt a budget run down for the month. I really don't get out much right now so we really haven't bought a ton this month. Lots of milk from Rainbow when it was on sale, and then last night Jason took me out and we got some things that are on sale this week.

I'm realizing that I am loosing track of what we are spending. Partly because I'm not writing it all down, and partly because I have been using the grocery cash, my debit card, and also gift cards that have been in my purse forever and need to finish up.

This is going to have to be a best guess budget being I don't have receipts for the last two week. Most of it I can remember, but I might not get all the coupons correct. I guess that you'll just have to bear with me and see how it ends up.

February 1
Target

3 Old El Paso taco seasoning mix $.75, -3 Free WYB 2 Old El Paso products=3/Free
Total$10.28

Target
I'm going to lump all the Target purchases into one list instead of writing them out separately. According to the new wording on the Target IP coupon you are only allowed to use one like Target coupon per transaction. One store we did 6 transactions at and one store they had us put all the juice together in one transaction being it was easier for them.
21 Ocean Spray Ruby Red $1.99, -$1/1 Target coupon, -$1/1 MF=21/-$.21 overage before tax
6 Koolaid packets $.22=6/$1.32
Total $1.11 before tax, $3.86 after

Cub #2
15 Dole canned pineapple $.48, -5 $1/3 MF=15/$2.20
10 Bush's best beans $.58=10/$5.80
4 Dole canned pears $1.18, -$1/4=4/$3.72
-$3 ONYO that I had from two weeks ago
Total $8.72

Total so far this month $50.85
Total left to spend $34.15

I think I got everything that we've picked up. It's good that I was able to get everything written down because I thought that we had only spent about $35-$40 instead of just over $50. Right now it is harder for me to get out and harder to cook so I am a little more inclined to spend more on easy to prepare meals. My goal is still $85 each month, but I feel like in reality it will end up being closer to $100.
Another thing is we've bought enough milk for the rest of the month already, but I'll have Jason get some this coming week because Cub has their twin packs on sale for $3.28 with in ad coupon. This will mean cheap milk for the first few weeks on next month, even though the cost will be part of this months total.

Cub $10/$100 plan update

Cub is having a 3 Day sale on their 3lb bags of frozen chicken breast. They are $4.99.

Being I still have $8 something to make it to my $100 I am planning on grabbing 2 of these for the chicken instead of finding small packs of chicken for around $2. That means I will be able to use the 3 $2 off chicken coupons from buying the Kraft dressing on them.

It will add in 9lbs of chicken breast and bring my pre-coupon total to $100.77. My post coupon, post $10/$100 total should come out to be $17.81 if everything works the way it should.

I am a little nervous about using so many kraft coupons at a time, and about using more then one of the MF in ad coupons also. We'll have to see how it goes. I'll try to post what I end up with. Hopefully they aren't out of things like the OJ and stuff like that. Also hoping I can bring the $1/1 Keebler cracker IP. I haven't tried yet, but Jason wasn't able to print it from work so we'll have to see.

My Cub shopping list for the week

Last week Cub and Holiday ran a dual promotion that if you bought 12 gallons of gas you received a coupon for $10/$100 at Cub. The coupon is good through Saturday. I've been thinking about what to get and how to make it to the $100 mark without actually spending much OOP.

I thought that it might be helpful if I posted my plan. That way if any of you have are looking for ideas you can see what I am planning on doing and what the actual OOP will be.

The $100 is pre-coupon if you give the $10/$100 coupon first. This is helpful to know being there are some BOGO coupons in the new Cub book.

Right now, my goal is to spend less then $20 OOP. I would really like to keep it to about $10, but that seems a little unrealistic even for me. To make it easy to keep track of I am going to put the pre-coupon total in RED and the post coupon total in GREEN

This is what I have so far:
Raincheck for Brownberry bread $1 per loaf, 4/$4 $4
Land of Lakes 1 Gallon OJ $4.99, -Cub BOGO coupon book, -2 $.50/1 MF=2/$3.99 $9.98
Sabra Hummus $3.99, -Cub BOGO coupon Book, -2 $1.50/1 MF=2/.99 $7.98
Keebler Zesta saltines $2.79??, -3/$4.98 Cub book coupon, -3 $1/1 IP=3/$1.98 $8.37
Soup $1.00, -Free soup WYB 2 Keebler Zesta crackers Tearpad MF=1/Free $1.00
Daisy Sour Cream 6oz, $1.39, -$.68 in ad Cub coupon, -$.50/1=1/$.18 $1.39
Carlita refried beans $.66=6/$3.96 $3.96
Carlita seasoning mix, Taco, Enchilada or Fajita $.33=3/$.99 $.99
Pre-coupon tota: $37.67
Post Coupon total: $16.09
The following probably won't be much of a help to you unless you still have left over B3G1 Kraft coupons from this summer. They expired on 8-31-09 so I know that I threw a few of them away. I still have some so it will help me bump up my total by quite a bit.

Wheat Thins, Family size $4.29?, -4 B3G1 Free Kraft coupons=4/Free $17.16
Kraft Shredded Cheese 5-8oz, -Free WYB 3 Nabisco crackers, in ad MF=1/Free $2.22
Kraft 16oz dressing $2, 9 B3G1 Free Kraft coupons, receive $3 OYNO WYB 5=9/$3 overage $18
Chicken $2, 3 Free Chicken up to $2 WYB 3 Kraft Dressing in ad MF=3/Free $6
Produce $1, -4 $1 free produce WYB 2 Kraft Dressing, Tearpad MF=4/Free $4
Kool-Aide $.25, -2 2 Free WYB 10=27/$5.75 $6.75
Pre-Coupon total: $91.80
Post coupon total: $18.84

I have $8.20 left to make it to $100. Even if you don't find anything else with coupons that would bring my totals to $100 pre-coupons and $27.04 post coupons. Take the $10 off of that and my final total should be no more then $17.04.

I think I might just add in some of the apples or pears that are on sale if I don't find anything else. Hopefully some of you will be able to get some ideas on who to maximize your $10/$100 coupons.

Working on the Blog this week

Noah is in Rockford for a few days and then has one day with my mom so I am planning on doing some much needed blogging.

Looking over the ads yesterday I didn't see very many superb deals for the week. I'll make a short list of them and then add throughout the week if I find any more later.

Target
Target IP coupons have new wording on them that states, "One per Transaction." Translation, no more buying 30 of something at a time with TC. This is fairly new wording and most people report that their targets don't care if you do your order in 1 transacation or 30. I would ask at CS for each different Target you go to just to make sure. Remember, it's important to follow the rules for each coupon. First, it's ethical. Second, it helps ensure the retailers and manufacters are willing to continue to offer us great deals.

Ocean Spay light, diet $1.99, -$1/1 TC, -$1/1MF=1/Free

There are a couple of in Ad coupons that can be paired with MF coupons. These deals will be made better if you still have some of the B3G1 free Kraft item coupons from this summer or the ALL YOU mag this fall.

Cub in Eden Prairie

I was in Eden Prairie last weekend and stopped at Cub. I asked about their expired coupon policy and was told that they take expired MF coupons for up to 5 MONTHS past the date. This is great news if you are like me and always seem to have some really good coupons that don't seem to get used. It's also bad news if you are like me and already have more coupons then you know what to do with and are now faced with the decision on what to do with an extra 2 months worth of expired coupons. Looks like it's time for me to add another binder. :)

Just More IPs

Noah and I are home alone this afternoon so I am just trying to get all the new IPs in one place before I head out shopping this evening. Nothing too interesting. If I know of a current deal, I'll add it with the coupon.

Gerber clothing coupons
$2/2 appreal or bedding
$1/1 sleep and play wear
$1/1 Onsies

There are random Gerber clothing on clearance at Target. Some stores have had them for 75% off so they should be cheap or free if you add in the coupon. I did have to sign up to get the link for the coupons. If you can't print try signing up and then you should be good to go.

$1/1 Ocean Spray.
$1/1 Diet Ocean Spary
Pair this with the current $1/1 Target IP and get free juice. They are on sale for $1.99. Not sure if the sale ends this weekend, 1-24-09. I think it runs until 1-27-09, which is the middle of next week. There was also a MF in last weeks insert for this juice.

$3/3 Special K bars, redeem at Target only. Not sure yet if this is a MF. If it is then combine with the Target $1/1 IP for free or cheap special K bars.

$1.50/1 Coffeemate. Must register. Supposed to be on sale at Target for $1.50 per bottle=Free

$2/1 Kashi soft baked cereal bars. Supposed to be $2.79 soon at Target. Check WM also.

$1/1 Pillsbury Grands Biscuits.
Possible 2nd link. On sale at Rainbow this week for $1 each=Free

$2/1 South Beach snack bars
. Sale prices are around $2.00-$2.50 per box.

I think that is it for now. Hope some of you can use these. Noah is gone for a few days next week, so I am hoping to catch up on Blogging while I rest.

Great In-store and Online Clearance Deals

It seems like there are some really good clearance sales going on this weekend.

Old Navy

Take an additional 50% off the marked clearance price. This is in store and also online. The website was VERY slow earlier today so be patient if you won't want to head out in the cold. For online orders you will need to enter promo code EXTRA50 at checkout. This will take 50% off the clearance price listed.

Kohls

Use your Kohl's card and get up to 30% off the regular, sale, or clearance price. The online code is, SAVE30JAN. There is also a free shipping code, -MVC5773. I'm not sure if the "-" needs to be before the MVC portion of the shipping code. I'd try it without and if it doesn't seem to work try again with the "-". I looks like clearance is picked over online, but this is a good way to get a discount on those items that never seem to go on sale. I'm thinking about a carseat.

JCPenny's
Most items are red ticketed with an additional 40% off, making them around 70%. There are a few areas that seem to have some green tickets with 40%. Becky was able to get some girls shirts for just under $2.

There might be more. I'll update as I find them.

Express
They are having their $9.99 and up Box Sale, along with an extra 40% off the clearance price.
